0:18 the way he says nightmare in scissor kick nightmare literally always makes me chuckle. This guy was the best cross over game announcer and the og sf4 announcer was the best street fighter announcer IMO.
Could not agree with you more my friend!! I totally concur. They were the two best announcers in the street fighter franchises thus far. No one else has come close.
There's just something inherently FUNNY about an American voice actor shouting Japanese attacks. I wish they'd kept this up in future games. The opposite is also true, like Captain Commando trying to speak American English.
@@richardrdenisii No. Hearing "Hyper Combo FINISH!" every single time you finish with a hyper combo in MVC was the most irritating ever created. This was at least unique for each finisher, rather than the same fucking phrase for ~50% of all matches ever played.
Ikr. Not really hating on Street fighterr IV and V but I always liked the older versions especially 3rd strike. The newer ones never appealed to me I guess.
I understand that I missed a few. However, my point was to include only supers that yielded an explosion or flash at the end of it. Therefore I did not include Dan's super taunt, Shuma's split or Wolverine's berserker rage.
***** Correct me if im wrong, but Wolverine's Berserker Rage has a small hit box when he slashes in the air at the beginning. Maybe it was in this game or in MvC.
-MISSING- I don't remember. It might be in MvC. I know Shuma Gorath's chaos dimension does in marvel super heroes prior to actually grabbing the opponent. Perhaps wolverine's berserker rage is similar in that regard.
I Remember playing this in arcade in the late 90's, early 2000's. During my high school years, i remember after this game, MvC came out. But man, MSH vs SF is a very beautiful game. Since MSH -> Xmen Vs SF -> MSH vs SF -> MvC -> MvC2. MvC2 already changed the look. wow, more than 20 years ago.
Kudos! You know your history. I like that! Yeah MVC2 did change the look (for the worse in my opinion) yet that game is lauded as one of the best crossover fighting games which blows my mind because I wasn't impressed (even though I did a video on that game as well). Unfortunately, this franchise of crossovers dropped the ball with Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and never rebounded. Hopefully someday if not Capcom some other entity decides to redo it and make it right because the concept has already been achieved so it's just a matter of having the right vision, game engine, creativity with the moves/supers, etc. Anything is possible.
Yeah, every once in a while I watch these old game videos just to refresh my memories, I even remember my friends home has a PlayStation 1, and he has those pirated games just like everybody , every time I go to his home I check his CD bag, and many shit games then I found . Anyways suddenly I see MSH vs SF in the collection , a pirated version of course. Then loaded up the game, found out differences between the PS and arcade version. But I don’t remember the exact feeling, seems sluggish and low frame rate. I remember showing him my Captain America double jump combo, but he is not impressed as he plays FPS and Starcraft 1. Hahahahah. I believe it is year 98-99
I dunno how many times I tried to pull off Shadow's (Charlie's) Final Mission...it never worked. I'd be in training mode for hours...looking at the manual booklet. The damn thing just wouldn't trigger....up until today, I though it was a typo or something that made it's way to the US version of the game. Glad to see it's real. Thanks Theloyl11
@@X2011racer No, they actually have their own announced calls (since he's a standard character in the Japanese version, though that makes it even weirder that Otoko Michi doesn't have one).
You're thinking of Marvel vs Capcom 1 where a Red version of venom was a secret character, he was mislabeled Carnage but in reality was just Venom with a pallete swap and slightly different game play properties
no prob! its nice to know that other people are willing to work with Dan! did you know that the otoko michi is the most powerful super move in Marvel vs Capcom 2? (Funny how they gave it to dan!)
Iron Zangief made a lot of my opponents cry, specially when the double power atomic bomb, they would see their bar drain little bit more than half way, and they would be like NFW, I used to make Spider man look like a roach with Iron Zangief.
No emulator or mods. This was done on the original playstation console so yes the costumes were a result of just pressing regular buttons on the controller.
I had this game for sega Saturn when it came out and i never noticed the over top announcer. Ryu super finishing moves had me laughing so hard. I love playing as the Japanese comedian i had no idea who he was until way after i stop playing.
@@TheBrownPlayer The best players with him could down a player and then get the timing right to take down his partner with the super as he jumps into play.
My favorite thing about this game was how they combine the name of the team up supers like Optic Haduken, it always sounded like some dragon ball z shit.
HK button at the character select screen. Each punch or kick button yields a different color costume and I recall the high kick button being the black costume.
@@TheBrownPlayer Was that on the arcade or console version? I found a place where I can play it online, but I think it's the arcade version. I only get 2 options for the costumes: the original and 1 alternate.
I'm not sure what game you played but neither Carnage, nor an unmasked Wolverine were ever in any game preceding or related to the marvel Vs.series.. my only guess is that you saw some sort of MUGEN sprite model
The Brown Player this video is good, but.... Can you to add the next special moves?:Chun Li's Hazan Tengyo Zyaku (DP + 2 kicks) Dan's Super Taunt (QCF + QCF + start) Dan's Otoko Michi (HP,LK,B,LP,LP) Shuma's split super (QCF + 2 kicks) Wolverine's Berserker Rage (QCB + 2 punches) Mech Zangief's Siberian Blizzard (270 + 2 kicks) Please, create other video with those moves, thanks.
Wow! That's quite the request. As flattered as I am however I will not be replaying this game. But I want to explain why I did not originally include the supers you mentioned. With the exception of Chun Li's Hazan Tengyo Zyaku (which I honestly just forgot) all of the others have no flash effect when hitting the opposition. If you noticed the theme to my video every super had a flash at the end of it and all of the ones you mentioned do not. I also did not include Mech Zangief's Siberian Blizzard because Mech Zangief to me is the same as Zangief so I left him out entirely. Sorry.
thanks for the answer, but let me say you tthat mech Zangief is not the same than normal zangief, but is one character of the same game, you should create the others super moves, but if you dont want, best dont, thanks.
wrong it's guile in the other street fighter games she's guile but in street fighter sero 3 he was charlie just like vega in that game was called balrog and balrog was called m bison
+Alvaro Alas It's Charlie, not Guile. You can tell by the build and body frame. Shadow is a hidden character but one that is based on Charlie. Much like how in this game Mephisto is based on Blackheart, Metal Spider Man is based on regular Spider Man, etc. It's all relative. Thanks for the comment though.
I'm surprised that you didn't do Dan's level 3. Aka his 'raging demon that leaves him with ONE PIXEL of health' super. But then again, this video is missing a whole bunch of supers, so I assume that is the reason why.
I like the scissors kick nightmare, hyper stars n stripe lol, the final justice, shun goki satsu that pose is cool, the final mission it not over until the oponent falls. ,super optic blast it has a nice pose. The maximum spider it's dangerous The weapon x nice pose nice callout nice finish fast n dangerous. The final atom blaster. The omega destroyer. The heart of darkness, judgement day (hasta la vista) Good times
