You blew my mind by pitching the Thunderbolts as a bridge to an MCU world that hates their heroes in order to make way for X-men. I honestly haven't been big on phase 4, but your ideas consistently make me feel something I don't feel much of anymore, excitement.

For me, the question is NOT, "Is Phase 4 cohesive?" It's more of, "When Phase 1 was happening, could you have EVER pictured the end of Phase 3?" You know Feige's inner circle has already tracked out at least a shell of where Phase 6 will take us, and all of these things we're seeing now in Phase 4 are merely the first dominoes.

I'm honestly interested in the idea of a Thunderbolts film. The more I think about it the more I realize it's not really an awful idea. If some rumors are true then we could see Ka-Zar(Basically Marvel's Tarzan) and the Savage Land in the film which I honestly hope happens as it probably would show that the villain is most likely jungle theme. I honestly love the idea of some of the characters interacting you could have Ghost and Zemo talk about how both lost loved ones due to an explosion but how Zemo lost his loved ones due to ruble of an explosion and how Zemo still wants vengeance for what happened to his family while Ghost has come to accept what happened and U.S Agent and Abomination talk about how the government told them to do stuff and they did but with some of their own actions in their yet both got punished, Ghost and Yelena can talk about how both showed forgiveness about loved ones dying. I hope with Zemo they have his mask back but it's not a one time thing have him have it on when they're fighting, on the way to a mission and after a mission. Plus it can be a bit like Suicide Squad with a potential sequel introducing new members to the team like Punisher, Deadpool, Electra ect.

i like that idea of Thunderbolts vs. Young Avengers because it reminds me my favourite mcu film - Civil War. Good they are introducing the members slowly, kinda like the Avengers so it will give them more space and depth, so a less chance to fail like Eternals.

I think Eternals was them seeing if they could introduce a huge group of characters and make them all matter to the story they want to tell. In my opinion I thought they did a pretty good job though tge cracks were noticeable. But the majority didn’t agree and with the success of no way home I think it was a good confidence booster for them to keep doing these movies with big casts the way they’ve been doing. Take your time and introduce them gradually until you get to the one where they team up.

You know what? I think there's a character who no one thinks about, and she, yes SHE, will play a major role in forming process of the Thunderbolts and specifically late phase 4 and early the phase 5, and that's Sharon Carter. I think Sharon has already been in touch with Val and probably she's the one who delivers weapons and techs to the Thunderbolts. And don't forget Val has a connection with Wilson Fisk and eventually Sharon will be in touch with King Pin as a business partner. I think Sharon is directly tied to the Thunderbolts in some way, shape or form.

Yup. I think Sharon's already been in touch with Kingpin actually. I really felt like Kingpin had gotten ahold of the super soldier serum when we saw him in the Hawkeye finale, based on his strength. I know he's always been strong, but this was different. Plus, they can use that as a means of explaining how he'll have survived a point blank shot to the face. Sharon probably gave it to him and he may have been the mystery caller at the end of TFATWS. My guesses at the time were Valentina and Justin Hammer. I'm loving Phase 4; the thrill of the unknown, intro to new characters and seeing old characters in a new light is exciting.

Here's an mcu lineup I think would be fun for the thunderbolts: - Yelena and USAgent, obs, filling in the cap and widow roles. - Zemo acting as the nick fury, coordinating them behind the scenes. - Justin Hammer as the iron man, maybe with his own new armour. - The Abomination. Red Hulk I feel won't be in it, but we need a Hulk and blonskis reputation is technically mostly intact as they blamed the harlem attack on banner. - and probably my wildest edition; Mysterio. I have a whole theory on how he's likely not dead, and he could stand in as the Doctor Strange sorcerer archetype. Perhaps being reintroduced with a line like "everyone loves a resurrection story" The way the show would work is sort of like The Boys. Zemo creates the Thunderbolts in an effort to tarnish the reputation of super heroes, and perhaps the show focuses on the least morally compromised member, likely Yelena, discovering the true colours of the Thunderbolts, climaxing in her leaving the team and exposing them, but the damage is done and the world now hates heroes. End credit scene perhaps teases the existence of a new Norman Osborne

Me spitballing off the top of my head for a line up Zemo(the Brains) Justin Hammer(the tech guy) Abomination(the muscle) Jon walker(the tactician) Bullseye(more Netflix characters being brought back isn’t a bad thing) SongBird/moonstone(a new member we can see the perspective of) Trish walker(a guy can dream) Yelena/ghost(helpful if more stealth is required) I honestly can’t see Bucky joining the team nor do I want to see Taskmaster. That’s just me.

That’s an excellent point about tying the “turn” against superheroes in the MCU to the introduction of the X-Men, because you’re absolutely right that they can’t just introduce the X-Men in a universe where superpowered people are loved and not feared. And you can see how the MCU has been building on this with every property! WandaVision/MoM with Wanda, Falcon & Winter Soldier with Cap, NWH and J. Jonah, Hawkeye with Ronin, and now, maybe against the Asgardians in Thor 4. Really interesting stuff-

I would think that they're setting the Thunderbolts off as a government sanctioned superhero team and because governments tend be a bit useless, it makes sense that villains could infiltrate the team and run their own agenda behind the guise of the US government.
