When no one's playing a team consisting entirely of Magneto, Storm, Sentinel, or Psylocke, the game becomes substantially more fun to watch. Interesting.
i disagree. the problem with low tiers is their strategy usually doesn't go beyond "get in, do magic series into super, repeat". top tiers are more fun to watch because they have more options which leads to a more varied game to watch and play.
@@logasoba Look.... The game has 56 characters. It gets really stale and annoying watching the same 5-6 character be used over and over again. I personally find lower tier matches way more interesting *because* of how much harder you need to work to win with them. When I saw the Servebot video on Max's main channel, I clicked immediately because holy shit! Someone's using Servebot! I'm immediately intrigued because I hardle see Servebot being used.
@@StephonZeno ok but servbot does like 0 damage and has a small hitbox making the fight annoying for both players imo. most low tiers make the game go at a snails pace because they dont have the movement options or combos of the top tiers. its boring unless youre playing as really specialized low tier teams like BB Hood Juggernaut or something.
@@logasoba The reason you hate low tiers is the reason I like them. People like praise to MvC2 for it's lack of balance because it adds to the charm of the game, and I agree on the basis that...well, it's a game! It's mean to be fun. I'd rather see people having a good time playing characters they like, trying out different combinations and themes, rather then being top tier whoring try-hards.
I have been super digging these mvc2 videos. I have actually really been thinking about this game a lot lately. I super miss playing it. Gotta bust my PS2 out of the closet and go to the lab again for old times sake.
Okay hear me out. Imagine marvel 2 right... but every single character does good damage and is totally viable and it's not just the same six characters over and over

Quick, tell me the gameplay differences between Wolverine and Boneverine without looking it up. And for bonus points, the differences between Iron Man and War Machine.
War machine is ever slightly slower than Iron man, he has rockets instead of lasers, he has two supers instead of one Both war machine and iron can both be on the same team and do the same infinite and swag combos etc. Bone claw is a little faster than metal wolverine and they can both be on the same team and both suck. There isn’t huge differences I think health is a bit different maybe some damage? They Nerfed wolverine anyways. That’s off the top of my head.
It’s a incomplete game at the end of the day Top tiers are completed along with God tiers along with being well developed and everyone else isn’t! Characters have tools that don’t work, connect, or are unusable. Some characters have dragon punches that don’t even work for a anti air. This was a rushed game in very way outside of graphics. Some characters have negative frames, poor launchers or even hypers that don’t combo.
Chrisophocles it makes cables hyper viper hit harder, along with Morrigan’s soul eater, and juggernaut’s charging super. I tend just to mash on every super though, cuz it’s fun. Lol
I believe almost every character gets just 1 super you can mash for more dmg/hits. Most notably in this game would be Cable's hyper viper beam, storms ice hail, magnetos magnetic tempest for top tier play.
man I miss this game so much. I just want to be able to play it again on my pc. If anyone has a good emulator for the game that they can link me please let me know. also how do players like justin wong and the rest of the mvc2 currently play the game? Do they use original setups or are they playing on an emulator or even ports from ps3/xbox360? any help would be greatly appreciated
I don't know if I'd agree with the comment at 3:37, there's some bullshit you can do with low tiers in this game. There's also a lot you can do with your team comp that really just fucks shit up
