I feel like a 5 color Thanos commander deck may be coming. All I know is I hope the serialized cards are alex ross art. Or at least have the showcase be alex ross.
@@jamesieboy666 that's a great idea, or possibly run a suspend mechanic that regenerates him, oh or maybe a -1/-1 mechanic that slowly removes the counters every turn and have a flipside with baby legs deadpool 🤣
@no-name4u love the suspend idea, call it something like: " regrowth- If Deadpool would be sent to the graveyard from anywhere return Deadpool to the battlefield with a suspend counter for each time this ability has resolved." Walls you control have "sacrifice this wall to remove a suspend counter from deadpool, if this is the forth time this ability is activated you win the game." :p
My number 1 prediction: Partner commanders in the precons(and the set). Can you imagine a Cap and Iron Man partner precon? Or Thor partnered with Hulk or Loki? This set is gonna be crazy
I don't think they'll use Partner itself; something more like Friends Forever and Doctor's Companion, where it's insular to the set, so you can only partner up Marvel legendaries with Marvel legendaries. Maybe even make them a little underpowered (but with lots of overlapping mini-synergies), and have you have THREE or FOUR commanders, meaning you could create your own actual superhero team in the Command Zone. That would mean the sum is greater than its parts, just like any good superhero team!
Venom - when you attack, create a 0/0 Symbiote Token with "tap; attatch to creature you dont control, then gain control of that creature." Symbiote Tokens cannot block.

I hope there is a board wipe card with thanos snapping I hope all stones are artifacts and if you have all stones you get an effect. I hope mutants mod each other plus 1s counters Hope magneto moves all all token creatures to graveyard I hope hulk has double sided and each turn you attack it gains pluss 1 counter so each turn he gets a buff
The gauntlet being legendary equipment and collecting all infinity stones from your library would be cool to twist the game. If they make a precon out of it, I probably would buy it

And all are tap add 1 colorless as well .. When all are on the battlefield in your control you get (snap, and half creatures both in play and libraries get exiled .. or snap and all creatures that are in exile are returned to play but under your control .. both snaps also bring your life total down as well substantially .. maybe they are equipment you need all 5 and gauntlet to use the snap function which is basically a win con
A Wolverine commander with healing abilities would be amazing. I would also like to see venom’s symbiosis working as artifact to improve power giving +X/+X

It would be funny if Deadpool was saying his abilities, like it's his word bubble similar to the comic book. It would be the most meta way for his character to break the 4th wall within the game of Magic.
I'm so hoping for a FF4 archenemy box. 5 monocolored decks: Sue Storm: White Reed Richards: Blue Ben Grimm: Green Johnny Storm: Red Dr. Doomsday: Black; althhough splashing some other colors would allow to include some other villains
I just want a Red/Black Ghost Rider. My prediction is that the 4 pre cons will be: -True Heroes Red/Blue/White(Spiderman with Captain America and maybe Daredevil) -Mind over Matter Blue/Green (Xavier&Hulk with other Xmen and Hulks) -Supernatural Scares Red and Black(scarlet witch and blade with Some villains) - Galactic Giants Black/Green/White(Thanos, Galactus, and some Guardians of the Galaxy) Marvel would not allow the set if it didn’t promote the current state of the brand.
mtg should be implemented like the d20 system for rpg's. e.g. a stand alone marvel ccg using the mtg system. marvel ip would definitely be big enough to support its own core set and multiple expansions. each new ip could be it's own offshoot. instead of hate regarding the mashup of different incompatible universes. simply incorporate "universes beyond" variants to allow for cross universe play. i personally am not interested in seeing spiderman and rick grimes on the battlefield with urza but a separate variant type of play could open that up to those who do.

Power stone: all your creatures are indestructible an have +5/+5 Time Stone: tap amd pay 4 you gains a second turn after this one. Soul stone: tap and pay 4 doble your life. YOu can cast creature spells from your graveyard. Reality stone: you can play spells you own from outside the game, or from exile
I may be the only one not too excited for this set since ive been playing marvel champions lcg. Still looking forward to the art and abilities of cards in this set 👍
I've been saving up for MtG Marvel since the early 00's, long before it was ever a real thing. I will be spending thousands day 1. I expect the prices/values to skyrocket to heights MtG has yet to see. I do not expect them to do one of one anything, but serial numbered stuff. I also do not think we are going to get one, lone version of say Wolverine. Nope. The money is one making several versions of the most chased characters. Think Amazing Spiderman, Spectacular Spiderman, Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman, Ultimate Spiderman, etc. Because it opens up the set design AND allows every kid to get A Spidey even if they can't get the most expensive version. And it will sell more packs. I expect Commander to be heavily leaned into. Also, Battles--whatever you think about Battles, they would work well for Marvel MtG, and/or Sagas and other riffs on global enchantments under another name. I fully expect several VERY broken cards to be printed. And not always of like characters who are canonically that powerful. But like, represent Charles Xavier as a creature, how do you cover the scope of his abilities? My mind goes right to looking at your opponents library and hand and being able to manipulate it. So you end with like a 0/2 for too cheap that has a MtG-mechanic-speaking "super broken mechanics". [Tap professor X to look at your opponents hand, top card of their library, and any face down cards they control. Chose and exile one of those cards, if it was from their hand they get to draw 1]. Pretty good off the top of my head for "representing Xavier's insane powers". But from an MtG perspective... I just brewed up something so toxic to the meta I should be slapped twice. And they have to do this for literally hundreds of characters. I'd like to say they just lean safe on power levels but its WotC. They absolutely won't play it safe. Inb4 The One Above All and Marquee of Death and Mathew Malloy are printed with canonically appropriate powers. Oh look, Doctor Doom is basically a mindslaver strapped to a creature with indestructible, that kind of shit. They Mystique and she's basically a tap-to-tutor a legendary into play face down. Finally, they are going to make new mechanics for the set. That part is a wild card to me. Hope MaRo is 30 years deep in thinking about it like he claims. Hope he's had some great ideas in his pocket since the late 90's that are well polished and informed by MtG history. But logical me says "here comes some shit like cascade³ mixed with storm² and affinity²". Probably some busted legendary lands and artifacts to be found. How's a cosmic cube land as an MtG card in 2025? Also, alternate art treatments meets comic artists of serious reputation. Won't just be chasing Wolverine, X-Man but specifically a serialized Jim Lee alt art foil Wolverine, X-Man. While opening copy after copy of Logan, Weapon X, X-23 as Wolverine, Albert, etc.
I would like to see an Adam Warlock & Dr.Strange card . The Venom card that you mentioned should be an enchantment creature card . I think they should have a Galactus , Beyonder , Thor & Silver Surfer planeswalker's . They need to have Thor's hammer , Captain America shield , The Executioner's Axe , Hawkeye's Bow & Silver Surfer's surfer board as equipment cards .
America Chaves will most likely the sets local planeswalker. She is the marvel equivalent to MTG planeswalkers. Spiderman is most likely Blue white with tap stun effects to reflect his web skills too

It feels to me that tbey must go the " ikoria " way creating a plane inspired in superheroes, having alternative art for their cards and maybe some cards should ne exclusively " marvel". That way opens the possibility of later on, do something similar with DC or Image, revisiting this New plane

You didn't tell about the Doctor who magic the gathering set where they have the masters of evil set.which could be a marvel set you did hint at but with Doctor who playing it is complicated what with the time traveling and each deck plays different like history is what one deck is all about while freezing up and moving time is another decks strategy I don't know.....
