Hey hey! Thanks for the video. A quick note... Marvel zombies: Heroes Resistance is available in retail (and has been for some 9 months now) but it's the Spin Master, small box version of the game (less minis, standees). The CMON version due to land will be X-Men Resistance and will be the fully miniature based iteration of the game 🤗
@@dunkelzhan76 X-Men Resistance will release at retail along with all CMON other non-exclusive content. There will be associated contents that are KS Exclusive which should arrive at the same time for those who backed the KS. The last official comment from CMON re: phase 2 shipping is: "We don't yet have delivery estimates from the factories, as they're coordinating how best to handle this massive production and we don't want to speak out of turn. "

I'm not gonna lie, I'm not a huge Zombicide fan (I don't think it's bad, I think it's just fine), but MARVEL Zombies..... yeah, I had to get this. And to my delight, I'm having a blast! I like it more than other Zombicide games as I love the hunger mechanic and the bystanders. I can't wait to play in Superhero mode when the rest of my pledge comes in. ALSO, how cool is it that EVERY miniature can get used? In other games, if I don't like a playable character, that miniature collects dust. But in MZ, that same character I don't want to play can still show up as an Abomination Enemy, depending on the mode I'm playing in.
Interesting that you’re not a fan of the others but like this one. There are definitely some versions that I like more than others, but they all tend to scratch the same itch. Have you tried black plague?
@@BoardGameCoffee Black Plague (core box) is the only other one I own, but I tend to dislike it and the older ones in general, as I don't like having to hunt a very specific item to defeat the abomination. I like the newer Zombicide games where you can kill an abomination potentially with any attack, but you face more of them to make up for it. I like the added variety and consistency that this gives. I also love how in MZ, the most powerful 'items' in the game are the bystanders, and instead of drawing them completely at random, you can see where they are ahead of time and strategize around them. Plus being a big Marvel fan, the 'theme' of the bystanders is a huge plus for me.
Cthulhu Death may die is sooooo easy to play, you can learn the rules in about 20 mins, the set up and rules for each chapter are pretty easy too, I did have to read about three of them a couple of times to make sense of them, but they aren't hard.

I will be doing a video for that. But unfortunately, I did not get my copy when I had time to record it. So it’s gonna be a while. There are other projects ahead of that one. I haven’t even got a chance to play it myself.
At the Enemy phase, what happens if there is an existing Hero present on the board, and the player draws a Hero card. Do you spawn another hero? Or the existing hero will have extra activation??

I just bought the Marvel Zombies game, but if I'm a little confused about the companion game to play the Hero mode. Is the proper companion game Marvel Heroes Resistance or X-men resistance? I just don't want to end up buying the wrong game. Thanks!
The XMEN resistance is the kickstarter exclusive. But either will work. Not sure if you get different characters in the 2 versions, but I know the heroes resistance version that was released to the mass market a few months back has standees to replace some of the minis.
So they have 1 version for like $100+ Then marvel zombies resistance.. Is the only difference that one game has all plastic minis and the other has mostly cardboard ones?
I know the Kickstarter version does have minis. I’m not sure if the characters are different but let me ask for you and see if I can get you an answer.
Like mission 1? If a scenario set up doesn’t mention doors, are there considered to be no doors? Your video references closed doors where there are no tokens on your map.
@blathian there are doors printed on the board. I missed this originally as well. When the mission asked you to put doors those are usually doors that require a special key to open. Or they cover areas that don’t have doors printed on the board. So for most doors, they are just printed on the board and you just place the open door token on it.
It’s not really second part. Everything you need to know to play this version is in the video. I’m only saying that in case someone’s reading through the comments and thinking it’s half a how to play. The other how to play for the other version of the game will be coming out eventually. But not anytime soon. I have a few how to plays lined up before that one. I was hoping to get it done soon after I released this video although I didn’t have the game till recently. Sorry I couldn’t have that ready for. But when it’s done it’ll be a good one :)
Thanks for the great work you did. I only asked because the guide you prepared is the best I've ever seen, and in the general context of board games :) I know that the gameplay of superheroes is very similar, but once you make it, I know it will be great and I'll be happy to watch it!
It’s going to be a while before I get to that one. I’ve got a few other how to plays scheduled ahead of that. It was just unfortunate timing. When I had the time I didn’t have the game. Now I have the game I don’t have the time.
mic is tin-y. My guess is recorded in the middle of a room. Buy some foam for offscreen walls. Or use filters. You also pause way too often while talking. Very jarring. Made this difficult to listen to.
I can’t really change the way I talk but the mic situation has been improved since this recording. If your looking for a non pause talker I’m sure you can find other how to plays for this that will satisfy your needs. Merry Christmas
