Solid review! Thanks! I’m a sucker when omnis go on sale and this one was a temptation. But your review helped me see this is not an Omni for me. Thanks!
Unless you’re a huge fan of Marvel Zombies then it’s an easy pass. It doesn’t add really anything to the original Marvel Zombies titles. So in my opinion this is a good one to pass on, way better books out there you can get on sales.
A 1000 pages of zombies! Can’t go wrong with that. Looks really cool. I still have some Walking dead and Crossed on the pile but Marvel zombies seems really worth considering. Thanks again for the review, sir. 👏🏻
Ben! Walking dead and Crossed itch the zombie itch way better then this particular omnibus BUT if you do want some Marvel Zombies then I recommend the Marvel Zombies omnibus over the Marvel Zombies Returns omnibus!
@@Illuminerdy_ maaaaaaan if I have a chance to make a zombie comic shiiiiiiiiiii be prepared for Carnage 😁 and things that I feel are never touched upon in zombie stories.
I'm not a big fan of the Marvel Zombies films but I was buying a lot of these back in the days, including Army of Darkness vs Marvel Zombies. My favorite of the stories included here was the Secret Wars Elsa Bloodstone story by Kev Walker. You said you weren't super high on that one, did you ever read Nextwave? Battleworld Marvel Zombies felt more like a Nextwave follow up than a proper Zombies title and I love Nextwave
Army of Darkness vs Marvel Zombies was my favorite Marvel Zombies title and it stinks we won’t see that in oversized format. I want to say I read a trade of next wave at some point in my reading career because I experienced Elsa somehow. The Elsa story was during the half of this omnibus that I feel got much better but still didn’t love. I wouldn’t be against diving into more lesser known titles in marvel and DC like NextWave, especially if you recommend them!
@@Illuminerdy_ Elsa was also the main character of the Werewolf By Night special on Disney Plus, but Nextwave is ABSOLUTELY a title I recommend. Hilarious over the top action series of D-list Marvel Heroes facing a series of ridiculous missions to overcome, all coming courtesy of the team of Warren Ellis and Stuart Immonen. Really fun, kind of series you can't help but smile the whole time you read it
@@bunkmastab Yeah I caught her in that! I experienced her way before that tho, it would have been in comic format before any shows/movies. And I think I have read this, this has Machine Man and Spectrum? I think I remember getting a less intense and lighthearted the authority vibe from it if I’m remembering correctly, I would totally be down to reread that one for sure! Bunk always with the A+ recommendations
I do love some zombie goodness 🙂. Have to say I lke the artwork a lot better in this omnibus over the first one. But I will be giving this omni a miss, I dont collect or read Deadpool so thats my main reason. I think you review score seems fair from the points you raised.
Yeah this is one I probably would have passed on if 1. I wasn’t obsessed with zombies or 2. Didn’t have that first Marvel Zombies Omnibus whispering in my ear. Thank you for watching and being a part of the community!
This was my thinking exactly haha I was like maaannn I don’t want just one of the Marvel Zombies Omnis! So I guess I’ll get it lol Still had fun with it but not very strong as far as comics go for sure!
