Yes, it's possible but less convenient. The mesh must also be single, weld, and thin if you want to simulate it. Also, when importing, select the Skip validation option. You can also try without simulation as shown here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_C-TM8B202w.html
i'm a noob! i see you have to add buttons and things in udraper... but is there a way to use the ones from MD? do we have to export as a different file? this is exactly the kind of plugin i was looking for!. i see this will make it easier to drape the clothes on the model before adding to unreal.
Looks very nice, but not sure if it will do for stylized clothing where thickness in certain areas of the garment where collar, lapels, and pockets are reuquired etc. Can you confirm this?
Currently, different thickness can be applied to different materials. So, if you specify different materials in MD or 3D Draper, assigned to different pieces, you can set up different thickness for them.
@@triMirrorTV Thats interesting, how does it do the thickness, copy the UV of the cloth piece and stretch it to create the bordeer of the extrusion? Also, the wrap part of the video, is similar to a wrap deformer in Maya to wrap that piece in real-time? Oh, also i see you attachment for things like buttons etc, would this work for pockets as well. You mat have guessed im looking for a solution to stylized character animation and cloth sim for cinematics rather that having to use the long pipeline of MD, retopo, into zbrush for thickness in some areas and then skinning and simming n MD.
We had problems using garments exported in OBJ format from Daz. Do you need the clothes to be simulated or skinning or wrapping would be enough? When exporting from Marvelous, you have more options
@@triMirrorTV Thanks for the Quick Response, Yes I need Simulated clothes, A real shame, I thought I had found an answer to my problem. Keep up the good work your plugin looks good, just not for me at this time. Cheers
@@triMirrorTV No single style of clothes, I literally have hundreds of costumes I wanted to use, depending on which character and project I will work on, just wanted to know if it was possible, as don’t have time to make custom clothes
can you do the same process however for maya? mean animation in maya, exported to clo3d (clothes made in clo3d) export and finish animation in maya with the pluging for cloth animation (or even with mocap rokoko? for maya)
Make sure you uncheck "Include Hidden object" and "Include Internal Shape" when exporting your OBJ file. Please send me your OBJ file to look into the problem. You can use Contact page or Discord discord.gg/CZsQVe4Y9Q
I'm getting error,i have reset a million time :Your 2D patterns (UV) scale differs significantly from the 3D mesh. Make sure to reset UV to 2D arrangement in the UV editor before exporting OBJ file.
Make sure Scale is set to centimeters (100%) udraper.com/apps/help-center#hc-im-getting-this-error-message-your-2d-scale-differes-significantly-from-the-3d-mesh Also udraper.com/blogs/tutorials/using-clothes-from-marvelous-designer#03
