I bought this album back in 1971 and still listen to it. My mother loved this song Mercy, Mercy, Me. She passed on 12/22/2006 of bone cancer. Love this album to this day and tomorrow.
I remember as a kid being on a city bus with my mother she purchased this album for my dad who was a saxophonist a jazz musician I looked at the cover and laughed to myself I was about eight or nine years old not realizing this music would follow me for the rest of my life and would be more prevalent now than it was then the Great Smokey Robinson said he was in Marvin Gaye's living room on Marvin wrote this album and Marvin told him the words are coming from God I have no control of it as he sat at the piano and recited this whole album what a great present this man left us to comprehend and understand what's going on around you rip list of Marvin Gaye you left us with a priceless treasure if you don't have this album in your collection in my opinion you're not a true music fan
