People don’t understand why after 12 years, I left a job in June and during COVID. What they don’t realize is that God had been telling me to leave for YEARS but I was too afraid to do it. I am in a period of transition and can’t wait to see where He leads me.
I too am transitioning and struggling with whether I want to move back home up North or stay put. Hearing him speak about asking God for direction. I am waiting patiently for a sign. It may be somewhere I've never lived before just as he said he was lead to Texas. His grief I can relate to.

Thank you for this wonderful interview! I can relate to Bishop's testimony. Ten years ago I resigned from a TOXIC job determined to succeed as an entrepreneur. I disconnected from FAKE/TOXIC friends. I prayed and fasted through horrible/nightmarish struggles. Looooong story short, the Lord stabilized my life and opened doors. During my journey, the Holy Spirit revealed several powerful revelations... one was how to destroy negative word curses!!! . The more I fasted and prayed, my discernment sharpened. I "discerned" fake friends and toxic relatives who had spoken "death words" over my life and destiny. The Lord led me to powerful deliverance ministers... who taught me how to engage in spiritual warfare and pray through to VICTORY. Halleluah!!
At 50 I moved to another state alone with my elementary schooler. Everyone said I was so brave. God told me to move, so the bravery was just doing what He said. BEST move!

Mr. Sapp. I can definitely relate. I left a church that I’ve been part of since I was a teen. But I knew in my heart that God wanted to grow me in a different direction, but I was feeling guilty because I’ve been there for so many years. After much prayer, God have me the strength to leave and I informed my former pastor that I was leaving. After a year, I joined a church that I never knew I would. I wanted to go where nobody really knew me. It was humbling and I am so grateful and focused. God brought me great peace because I was able to get involve in grow in a way that I never thought I would. May God continue to walk with you during your new life’s journey.
I understand this also I left my former church while I was a Deacon and Sunday school teacher and ministry leader. It was hard but I felt God telling me it was time to go. It was a surprise to everyone but it was overdue. It was nothing personal I was happy outside but miserable inside. I feel so much better now.

Bishop was surviving and not thriving. Many times we stay in situations because we are comfortable, convenient and familiar. However like Peter on the boat, we have to come out and walk on the water. That is what faith and the Christian journey is all about.

When someone says - "I'm not being selfish, I'm just self-focused," it's really hard to see the difference because the focus is still on one's own self either way. I think it's OK to be selfish sometimes - especially if you really cannot cope with life in your current situation. Mental health has to be a priority and I'm glad it's becoming a common subject of discussion and not degrading people for addressing those needs.

I love hearing when God calls the Abraham out of us and says "go to a land that I will show you." I had my Abraham moment in 2014 when God asked me to quit my job after 27 years as a TV news anchor. Since then I earned my second Master's degree and am now a licensed mental health counselor with a focus on treating trauma through a modality called Brainspotting. I absolutely love my work and am so grateful. Follow His leading and you won't regret it!
Hi, idk if you’ll ever see this or respond but can I ask how he showed you that it was time to leave? I’ve never seen so many Christian videos pertaining to moving as I do now. Just random down my timeline. Also I think I’ve see a hundred LA hats on people’s heads. I also have gotten a lot of Esther as far as scripture and I think he’s calling me to move, to LA. I randomly came across a video of a woman telling her testimony on when it was time to move and she gave signs. I looked down and the girl had Los Angeles on her shirt😂 and I’m like God keep giving me confirmations. Like I haven’t had enough already lol🤦🏾♀️ So I just wanted to ask what your confirmations were. Thank you. And btw, it took a major amount of faith and courage to leave that position. Wow.
@@erikarobinson3557 Good morning. To answer your question. I got up to go on my normal walk. As I was setting my alarm, I felt the Lord speak to my heart and say, "you have a lot of faith." I thought wow, that's cool. I've known that, people have told me that and now God is saving it. Before I could get prideful, God said, ""but could you quit your job?" It felt like the wind knocked out of me and I quickly said, that's not God, He would not do that. He knows I have a daughter in college that costs $50K a year. So I did a Jonah and I hurried out my house to try to bury the thought. Less than a block from my house God said, Do you really believe God provides? I answered yes because I thought if I answered no then I meant I was a liar and hypocrite which I can't stand. Next, I asked God, " but what will I do, how will I earn an income." He spoke to my heart again and said, "if you fail, I fail. In God there is no failure." The more questions I had, He sent me in a loop of "do you believe God provides and if you fail, I fail. In God there is no failure." Still I wasn't convinced. That's when He used my own word on me. He said, "IF you are my hands and feet, I need you to be free to be at work in the world." THAT WAS IT! I had so much joy and felt light. I was finally free and released from my job. Next, God instructed me who to tell and when because I was still under contract. God orchestrated the whole thing and I followed Him exactly. My daughter didn't understand, nor my family and they also don't remember talking to me for 10 days. They thought what I was doing was crazy. Needless to say they saw it was God and still see the hand of God at work in my life. I earned a second Master's degree in counseling. I specialize in trauma which keeps me busy. I love my job and am doing very well because I obeyed God. Now, the only caution I would give you is don't wait too long to act on what God is speaking to you. That's when faith becomes fear. I have a back story about missing God's instruction 10 years earlier and having to stay in TV 10 more years than I was supposed to. So, when He spoke on July 13, 2014, I KNEW I could not afford to wait another 10 years in that job.

Amen. Sometimes finding yourself requires a total change in your life. Too many Christians think that doing the same thing year in and year out through their entire life expecting next year will be better is what God wants. The reality its called madness. The only thing consistent in life is change.

@@questone1152 Prayer and meditation will help here. Knowing the right season to do something is everything. If you have mentors that are seasoned, God-focused, then ask for their input too. You will know it in your gut because it will uncomfortable everywhere you go until you make a move.

I'm transitioning from walking wounded to restoration growth purpose and becoming new beginning not listening to people pastors or world but what Gods says who I Am! Stepping out in faith!
I appreciate what he is saying. I was working at DFW when he was passing through. I do understand I left California and moved to Dallas and didn’t know anybody there. It made me totally depended on God. It’s awesome to lean on God and watch Him work in your life. It’s all about trusting God .
Lance Fisk first I must say the people are friendly, they speak to you when just passing by. When I moved into my home in Texas the neighborhood folks came over and introduced themselves to me and my husband. You don’t feel like a stranger in Texas. The price of homes is half of Calif price. I sold my house in Calif and bought a home there in Dallas for so much less. I sold my 3bedroom in Calif for more than what I paid for a 4bedroom with a great movie room and double the size square footage in Texas. And in Texas buying a house is so easy. They have a program for the first time home buyer with no money down, awesome! Let me stop....so property value is great, all kinds of recreation; fishing, hunting, horseback riding it’s basically kid-friendly and so much for kids to do. There are cruises leaving from Galveston all the time (we love cruising etc). I had friends come and visit me from Calif and now moved here from Calif. God lead me here and I’m so glad he did, I’m living my life and more abundantly.

My wife and I have been considering leaving California for ALL the reason that you stated once she retires next year ( I’m retired now) but didn’t know which state/city to possibly pursue. I’ve heard a lot of great things about Texas and I will definitely show her your reply. I did that , I'm from Detroit gave away everything that I didn't lose in the awful terrible fire that I was in now mind you this was the second house fire I was in I said God trying to tell me to get the hell up out of here. So I gave away everything that I had left I move to Columbus Ohio I live in my car for 5 days until I can find a place and I started all over and I'm glad I made the change

Watching this gave me so much clarity on what I discerned when I listen to your music. Your music is an experience punctuated by the weight of your voice. I discovered your music, the first was "Listen" and then "Never Would Have Made it" at the lowest point in my life, during the loss of my mom. Listening to your voice, I could hear and feel your pain. Your songs are both comforting and heart wrenching at the same time. Bishop, I pray that this new open door is a wealth of blessings and healing for you. I admire your story. When Christ came, he didn't come to establish a religion. He came to restore the Kingdom Adam lost. People are stuck in religion and playing church. Every Sunday millions go to a place that God says he isn't in. "He doesn't dwell in a place made with hands." That should be enough to make people think. He isn't returning for a religious people, not a denominational people, but a people that keep his commandments and have his testimony. This is why young people are not flocking to the church, they can read. Pastors are giving up their churches more and more; why? Scripture says: Come out from amongst them, or partake of the plagues that will be upon them. The Most High is sifting those that say they love him.
And if GOD THY FATHER!! REALLY CALLED THOSE WHOM SAY!! they are this? Pastor's, Evangelist, Bishop's, Apostle's, etc.. And just because they are in a pulpit? Doesn't mean they we're CHOSEN ONE'S!!! and if they walking away!! Then where did thee TRUE REAL APOSTLE'S!!! IN THEE BIBLE!!! they died Still SERVING!! NEVER Sabbatical! Did Any 11APOSTLE'S!!! Rickey G.Rush ( I.B.O.C) For help? And was told let us see if you was one that tithe? Then I still came after still not receiving assistance? Because brainwashed in thinking MY GOD THY FATHER!! Would be mad? Hmm. Little did I know! Not True!! Then as time went on. That Building folks had thee nerve to give out paper? Asking what people income was? How much they made? Where they worked?.. Boi! I was so brainwashed I actually gave this information? Sadly! When we know not! Because I hadn't built My CONVENANT and Relationship with MY GOD THY FATHER! didn't know about or how to test thy spirits! And to Know!! Thy HOLY SPIRIT OF TRUTH!!! was their!! For those!! Whom knew!!! To ask and receive!!! and I remember Marvin Sapp! Came to visit and was only to sing! But he changed it to after singing! He wanted to do a sermon?... And His Brother stays in Texas! So he came and his daughter for support of his Brother! He had them to stand up! Introduced his Brother as a Awesome Barber! Later I found out from one of the Brother's from Ministry said! Marvin Sapp! Wanted Rickie G.Rush ( pastor) to charge $$ to the Church for the free concert! It was?. I've been done with him since! Then a friend girl! Was telling me he be talking to her on messenger fb? So she would tell me the conversation? He asked for $$? I said that isn't him! So he contacted me! Said something to have me believe it was him? I started telling him about being homeless? He said I didn't give to homeless people! So I became homeless? And sent some bible verses! Later! I kept saying this wasn't him! Because he said something? But it said it was his official fb page? I cussed him out and blocked deleted him. And never ever watched nothing care for ANYTHING wrote in songs or sermon! That friend believe today in him! No matter what! And she has talked to him on phone!?and she is a little off? So to take advantage of her by asking $$! I just couldn't believe him! Then it was article came out! Stating how he was doing this to other females fans? These people speak god ? BUT NOT GOD!! THY TRUE GOD!! I didn't know he moved to Texas? Until seeing this clip? t.d.jakes, all of them aren't whom they claiming to be!. 😂
The bible doesn't mean to cast away all churches. That is extreme. Cause the word says that where one or more gather in HIS name, that HE will dwell there. The word says to use discernment and pick out the meat and throw away the bones. So we should not only go.ton church and get under the leadership of a GODLY appointed Pastor, but we must establish a relationship between ourselves and God on our own. Cause when we do that, we 90 percent of the time will never truly go astray. We all have the ability and power to call on HIS name. So we must go to HIM.

But can I tell you this one song( 🎼🎼🎼Never would have Made it..Never could have made it 🎼🎼🎼with out you . My God that song was my daily bread it was my ring tone on my ph.. We know Who we are I thoroughly agree! This is a Truth that can never be refuted, however our people must strive to meet that standard. And those of us who do believe in this truth, and have been enlightened must strive to teach others who desire to be awakened. Remember their are a lot of our people who are lost, and are pressing to find their way. Their are others who deliberately make themselves to be stumbling blocks, hindering others from having true access to the Kingdom of God. When God’s judgements are in the earth then the inhabitants will learn righteousness. Persistently walking in the truth is our only way to spiritual ascension.
This Interview was Bishop Marvin Sapp, really encouraged my heart. I was on an emotional roller coaster after my husband passed suddenly while preaching. He actually preached his on eulogy. I too walked away from my church I founded, and put a Bishop over the ministry, and moved out of the city, I needed to healed. I felt the same way as Bishop Sapp, that I would die, if I didn't take a sabbatical. God bless you Marvin Sapp, for your courage to leave. You can not lead while your heart is bleeding.🙏🙏❤❤❤

The five fold ministry of the church is not intended for one person, a pastor in one position. Those of this fold should be the Apostle, the Prophet, the Teacher,the Pastor and the Evangelist as the head leaders together in a certain order and ranking in spiritual order of the HOLY SPIRIT
Praying for you Bishop Marvin Sapp. We understand being Thankful For It All. In 2018 my husband had a stroke and recovered we are ministers. Five months later in 2019 he had a second stroke and is in a wheelchair. In July 2920 we accepted the call to Pastor none of this made sense in the natural. HE is using us more. We are following HIM. We may not understand, but God gets all of the glory!!! HE is going to use you mightily. Thank you for always encouraging through your storms. Your life reflects Kingdom Living and soul winning.
