I remember finding this rendition at the end of the Making of Sleeping Beauty documentary. Totally spellbound by the quality performances here, truly magical.
I think that I remember this lovely version on a VCR version of 'Sleeping Beauty' that my grandmother had at her house, when she was still alive. When I heard it playing after the main feature, even as a child, I felt a bittersweet emotion rush over me, like something beautiful was ending, but simultaneously, something else which was also beautiful, was beginning. I just think that I didn't want the magic to end, and in a way... I don't think that it has! Thank you so much for this. 💗🌹
It is something so beautiful, the words are missing but the feeling is superfluous, a true Gift of God God exists, creation bears witness to it, God loves us, but sin separates us from Him, therefore He sent His Son Christ to live a Holy life, to die on a Cross paying the penalty for our sins, saving us from the condemnation, dark powers and curses, reconciling us with God only by Faith in Jesus and his Sacrifice, Giving us Eternal Life, God bless you
First of all let me say this, Psalm 139:14 says I will praise thee, for we are fearfully and wonderfully made! Also, James 1:17 says that all good and perfect gifts come from above. To hear Mary Costa and Bill Shirley sing this unpublished version of “Once Upon a Dream” is a dream come true. I agree with @SakuraJade23, this version should have been the reprise at the end of the movie where they are dancing. Furthermore, I understand that Mary Costa is still living at this time (2/21/2024). Not only is her voice so very lovely but she is stunningly beautiful. Just imagine how GOD graced this divine woman to be the voice of Sleeping Beauty/Princess Aurora. This had to be the LORD’s doing and it is marvelous in our eyes.
I got laughed at back when I was living in Camden at the library when I was singing and some kids was laughing and mocking me and one person posted the video on Facebook and wrote 15 mean comments instead of nice comments about me and I was embarrassed and upset about it no one likes my talent I like to sing a lot while listening to music and singing along and dancing too any positive advice for me about my situation please I need a new friend someone who’ll accept me for who I am and not judge me just because I’m different from other people please
No, I just downloaded the audio file of the whole interview behind the scenes of the movie, including the end credits, and cut it down to where Mary and Bill were vocalizing the piece when the end credits were playing.
