Sammy K was born to score goals, she has an incredible football brain, her timing and reading the game is second to none. Long may she play the game. Cheers
Since she's been with Chelsea she's had the opportunity to play with other players at a similar level and has developed those great combinations with Kirby, Reiten, James, Harder etc and is getting almost as many assists as goals.
@@darrylbuckett5380 good thing is that it's starting to happen at Matildas. Always had good communication with Foord but now it's starting to happen with Fowler, Vine, Chidiac and Grant (that cross to Grant against England...)
And this doesn't even include her WONDER-STRIKE in the World Cup! That was the best goal I have ever seen LIVE. She blew the roof off of the 75,000 person stadium with that one! What an outstanding Strike in the biggest game of her life!
Nahh, Mary's a fraud, her defense has been bailing her out since, but since the defense started getting exposed as well, she's been conceding almost every game, and sometimes silly/avoidable goals as well.
@@felixfortune2000 So it won't be wrong to say that her golden glove award was due to the brilliance of the Lionesses & United's defense . I get your point 👍
Was really disappointed to hear from my sister that attended the teams flight to say they were some of the rudest people she has ever met, she even remembered the name of Sam because she was the main offender, which was surprising to hear she remembered the name as we don’t watch soccer in our family.
@@matt.2708 how strange, you have no interest in the sport but felt strongly enough to hunt out a RU-vid clip to voice your disappointment on your sister's behalf. Having watched her for the past 10 years or so, I find it more than 'strange' someone was offended by her.
@@rodgerking1134 I’ve had so much soccer content in my feed for some reason, of course I’m going to be disappointed when I hear they have been rude to my sister and her co workers. When I heard the Aussie cricket team cheated I was devastated and and found it hard rooting for my country for a decent while, I’d love to watch the football World Cup, but to hear Sam is like that of course throws me off watching a sport I don’t have much interest in and just wanted to watch Australia play. Sorry that the people you watch might seem different on tv and in interviews, not my fault I’ve heard that and want to keep open minded and give ‘my’ experience on people. Take the news however you want I guess
I am an 80 year old Australian man who has never liked any of the football codes and never watched a game. However because the World Cup was played here in Australia I watched the games and then went on the internet to see the background of Sam Kerr and I am absolutely amazed at her brilliance, her speed and control of the ball had me mesmerised. It is obvious to me, who knows nothing about the game, that Sam was feeling the effects of the calf injury and was not able to give her best performance nevertheless she has made me a fan of Women’s football!!
Same here, never had mush use for soccer (I am a Canadian) and I too was enjoying the 2023 Women's World Cup. Then they destroyed some men's careers over an ill-advised kiss on a stage where everyone was kissing, hugging, showing their bras and twerking like sluts while making 10 times what I earned at my cruddy job. I was a soccer fan for about 6 days. Screw 'em.
Mate, I'm a 62 year old Aussie and never gave women's football much thought either. Funny how a world cup in one's backyard changes things. Kerr is a true Aussie talent!

Teamwork something the men's games are lacking, the Kirby/Kerr combination for Chelsea has been incredible at ripping defence apart, what Sam has done for women's soccer on and off the field is immense a hero to so many worldwide
Amazing skill by Sam Kerr although I doubt that the best keeper actually hates the best striker. They may be rivals now but they'll never forget one another and will always remember with massive respect the times when they faced each other. As Mary Earps proved with the golden gloves in World Cup 2023 she's a force to be reckoned with and even an amazing striker like Sam Kerr gets through on the back of a team effort.
@@luis-megcalderon7582 The title could be classed as clickbait as it should have been titled "Kerr is the Player Earps hates playing against most" as almost every game Earps plays against Kerr she has scored against her or made a pass/cross that has resulted in a goal a phenomenal feat in this day and age of professionalism of the Womens game.
Sam Kerr is truly the best female footballer in the world right now and has a case for the greatest Aussie footballer of all time, regardless of gender. I'm very proud of her as an Aussie and a Chelsea supporter 🇦🇺
If you watched much women's football, you'd know that Samm Kerr isn't the best female footballer in the world. There's a reason Alexia Putellas won the Balon d'Or. And Beth Mead came 2nd. And Sam has never won it. Sam has had a relatively poor season for Chelsea and has been in the decline for a couple of years. One of the greats, without doubt, but let's keep our heads with all this Sam worship. She's not even the best player in the Australian team who is undoubtedly Caitlin Foord for sheet, constant workrate and consistent output.
@@picard2bridge Putellas should not have won it the second time. She was injured almost the whole year but the voting is incredibly Euro centric. Sam had a terrific year with little ball, single goal to win the FA, two goals to wrap up the WSL and pulled off the goal against Arsenal to draw to keep them in the race. But everyone ignores her work rate at the front and back outside this. Not the golden boot but the two leading WSL scorers lifted no trophies and won't be in the champs league. Agree both Foord and Catley deserve more recognition though.
@@picard2bridgeSam has an ability outside of Foord's range; she can see things the 99% can't in most situations, and has a perfect awareness of the game. Reminds me a lot of Ronaldo.
@user-vv2zc7hu5s you are plastic if you get offended by some banter that you call insults. If you don't support the men anymore, you are plastic. Simple as, poor baby
Man, that goal they conceded on England vs Australia! Williamson shouldn't pass to the keeper, having another CB by her side and no other Matilda coming at them. Poor decision there, which cost a goal. Hopefully Sarina can work on and correct those mistakes for the WWC.
Earps isn't bad (she the best woman keeper in the world) Sam is just an incredible player and it's not just Mary who struggles to save her goals it's all keepers
She’s decent, but it’s really worth noting how bad woman’s goalkeepers are. I genuinely could’ve saved some of these shots, and someone like Alison could have caught it as if it’s nothing.
This is the statistics in 2021/2022 bro: Alexia : 42 matches 34 goals Trophies: 3, Liga F-Supercopa-Copa De La Reina Sam Kerr : 31 matches 29 goals Trophies: 2, FA WSL-FA Cup That's why Alexia won that's year.😁

hahahaha 34 goals, 21 goals, Champions League MVP, Champions League Top Goalscorer (in which Kerr and Chelsea were eliminated in group phase), League, Most Assists in League, 2nd Best Goalscorer in League, Spanish Cup, Top Goalscorer in Spanish Cup, Spanish Supercup, and reaching the Champions League Final by 2nd consecutive year, doesn't seem like being injured the whole season first check out the considered period
Cant give Sam all the credit, Mary Earps is a shocking goalkeeper. The goal at 00:46 seconds she doesn't even lift her hands up😂 the goals at 00:20 seconds, 2:05 seconds, 02:31 seconds, 03:13 seconds and 04:21 seconds look at her positioning, shambles of a keeper. That must be some of the worst goalkeeping ive ever layed eyes on and i know what im talking about because ive played goalkeeper for years, she needs a new GK coach or to retire
A lot of women complaining about each other, in their usual petty way. Why are we to be bothered with women 'sports players'? Let's just concentrate on real sport, which is played by men.
So, in other words Earps is her side b!+ch, lol. She seems like she's the best female forward right now. It's a shame Australia can't use her services in this World Cup.
Not buying that for a second, Mary hasnt got a bad bone in her body she doesnt hate anyone. She will tell you that she respects and admires what a class player Sam Kerr is
just to clear up the drama and confusion: sam kerr is australian, but lives in england and plays for chelsea ( a england soccer team ) sam kerr had to go up against england playing in sydney. she was playing against some of her teammates in her chelsea team, like russo and toone and more. NOW - sam kerr WASNT playing for england because she is australian, LIVING in england. she had to travel to australia to train with her other matildas teammates, get on the bus and then play on the field. sam kerr was playing for australia because australia is her COUNTRY.
Sorry, Russo and Toone don't play for Chelsea. Millie Bright, Lauren James and Jess Carter do though. She does play against most of the rest of the Lionesses regularly in the WSL, exceptions would be the few that play for other Euro clubs like Bronze at Barca.
