I am just learning about Sam Kerr. My first reaction is, “Where have I been?”. My second is, “ She is good. So very very good. Her ‘first touch to foot’ skills are off the register.”
Look up her goal against Manchester United. The long pass from Lauren James and Sam’s chip shot over Mary Earps has got to be THE goal of the WSL last season 1:57 oops, I should have watched the video first. Thought it was just her World Cup and Matilda goals.
Goal of the tournament because nobody thought it was going to be a goal, nobody sitting on their couches at home thought she should have taken the shot, and when she did, nobody really believed it was going to get in
As an Australian of 76 years old, I have followed football for probably 65 of those years. I believe that next to Marco Bresciano, Sam Kerr is the best footballer male or female this country has ever produced.
I am another that has just became aware of her play. Wow! She has such touch and ability to make tough shoots. The best female player Inhave ever seen. Amazing player!
Her touches, passing and vision are *chef's kiss*. The vision to lob over Derpy Earps is one of my faves. Made Mary look completely contrary to the star renowned goal keeper that she is.
Haha our Sam is a legend she has created a movement of skilled women playing the world’s game, not easy to be popular but does allow Australians to now believe that our little country so far away from Europe can succeed on the world stage well done to all the girls of the Australian soccer squad ❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏👍
to see genius with ball like this is just magnificent sheis a female Beckham they are gifted like King David who took down 12 foot -13 foot goliath with 1 slingstone on the run between the eyes they have same God given gift hand eye coordination. Beautiful to watch :D
@@vedranzuvela we're talking about girls you numb nuts. For a girl she might end up as famous as Messi. Serena Williams could never beat Federer but is as famous as him and won more tournaments than him. I hope this helps you.
We see Sam Kerr but Mary Earps only sees Kryptonite!... Thankfully the rest of the England team are made of lead, they can be slow to get going but once they do they are very difficult to stop!
She obviously wasn't in tip top condition in the world cup, coming out of injury. Too many misses, she normally would have buried. Such a shame. What might have been.
@@santanamauricio I found that interesting, because I have been wondering where she has her dark colours from. Of course one shouldn't be too hung up on ethnicity for the wrong reasons, but it is also fun to know when someone's mixed, imo.
In AFL (Australian Rules Football), we call that kind of talent 'got it on a string', where the individual appears to have control of the ball long after it's left their feet / hands /head, gets it to curve by apparent supernatural powers, past two to three (world class) players, and a goalie dedicated to ensuring no goals are scored by the other side... ...mesmerising to watch.
The way Sam weaves in and out of the players and scores is truly incredible ! I think she was really not fit these past two weeks in the World Cup, she missed too many opportunities .
She was injured with the calf strain.those can take a cojple days or months to heal deoending on severity.she looked fine but i cant say because she is tough.they made some foolish mistakes agsinst england which shows me they werent well trained or arent great defensively.they gave themselves scoring oportunities against england and the shots were very close or they came very close to scoring .that tells me that either they are a pretty good team but not great or maybe werent well coached or they had bad nights.i dont think they are a great team but its my opinion because i havent seen them play.but i think the coaching wasnt great.they didnt seem to have a plan.dngland and sweden seem to have one becauss they used certain plays that are used that create scoring oportunities.australia reminds me somewhat of argentinas world cup with young messi against germany i think in 2007 where they couldnt do anything right.the team wasnt that great.i still think some of the players on the argentinian team were pretty good but not great and the great ones either didnt mature yet or there was too much pressure or the team itself had no real plan under diego maradona.so australia reminds me of them but australia did much better.but i really dont think the coaching is great
I know very little about women’s football, but these seem to be exceptionally well taken goals. Does she have equally talented rivals or is she IT, the g.o.a.t.?
She has been the top goal scorer in the USA, Australia and WSL but has never won the Ballon D'Or. There are other women that are comparable but for my money, Sam is the best.
Can't believe she's missing out in back to back international competitions. I would have really wanted to see how far Australia can go with all their best players. Same goes for all those who are injured for Olympics too.
Lol, not sure how that is shocking what she said. I was more shocked the police didn't receive standard resilience training to recognise that there was nothing there really, but maybe I'm just used to how real racism is.
if people stop singing the praise for most of the easiest goals by sam kerr, the australian girls may have played together properly and actually win the game against england. instead, the hype went to their heads and they got done by a better side that actually played as a team, instead of the one man army crap the aussies pulled out. she's a very talented player, by all means, but i only seen 3 goals that actually impressed me. the header into the goal was the most impressive, but the rest, against a class keeper they would have been saved. nice clickbait on the title, cus they weren't shocking at all.
The shocking part is that she actually manages to look like she has some co-ordination to speak of, unlike the goalkeepers she's shooting against.... :)
@KnutHoiby We also have horseless carriages , heavier than air flying machines, and telephones that you can carry in your pocket. The wonder of modern miracles. We cant do much about the rock you are living under though :(
i'm so so so proud to say that She is Australian and the whole of the Matildas team is the best team we have here in Australia Go Matildas🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️💚💛💚💛💚💛💚💛💚💛💚💛💚💛💚❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
It is difficult to win the world's best as long as Alexia Putellas is around ( and no I am not Spanish) who is just a freakish womens footballer and by far the best womens player in the world and two time Bellon Dor winner. Her ball skills are beyond any other female player - her assists are just ridiculous at times and she has scored some of the finest goals in the women's game. Sam Kerr is the best Striker in womens game but no way is she the best player. That belongs to Putellas who was out for months with a very serious ACL injury and herself not at her nest in this world cup but she is in the final with Spain and deserves to be there.
Have you heard of Aitana Bonmati??? She's now the one who'll be winning those awards...it's her time now,,I don't think Putellas is winning any award this season.. Bonmati will collect all
@@ExternalInputs Putellas ain't winning anything rn... Bonmati had won almost all the awards and also about to win Ballon d'or.... Putellas is not even nominated cause she was out injured
Some of the goals were really good but have been achieved by other players, most of them were not world shocking in fact the one against spurs I'd even say was shit more the defenders goal tbh
Ridiculous misogynistic bull%t, some of the saves during the world cup from the likes of Earps (golden gloves winner), Mackenzie, Perez, Mušović - even Gordon Banks would have been proud of. And they were fearless. If you don't like women maybe stick to watching men's football which imo is boring by comparison. I'm male by the way so you can keep your misogyny to yourself.
