You are right about the contradictions. There are also contradictions with other mystics. So, on the face of it, it is hard to know who to trust. I have read everything produced by Bl Emmerich. However, I also read that the visions were recorded by Clemens Bretano who embroidered them with his own ideas, or those from ancient writings; and he had the problem of interpreting her particular dialect of German. All of this means one should be suspicious of the veracity of the writings attributed to Bl Emmerich. In fact, we can still believe (as I do) that she had genuine visions, but that we cannot know true from false due to the fact that they were never written down by her, someone else interpreted them and it is only his interpretation that we have. None of this means that we should accept Valtorta's writings. We need positive reasons to do so. My first dozen videos were about showing that the writings demonstrably contain data which she could not have known and had to have acquired supernaturally. No other writings on earth are like hers in this respect. As it is some time since I did those videos and as there are quite a few research papers about the contents of the writings, I aim to do further videos about them in the future. Not quite yet, since, above all, our fellow Catholics need the Gospel episodes in all their richness, as given by Jesus to this visionary. Only once I have done many more episodes, then I shall switch gear.

You are right for worry to be an initial reaction, since the Church has not approved these writings. However, both Mary of Agreda's and Valtorta's were on the Index. Agreda's were taken off, but the Index was abolished before Valtorta's could be considered for this. Sr Faustina, whose work was on the Index until its abolition was reinstated by JPII. I hope that another Pope will do this one day. In the meantime, I repeat what I said to another person with a different query today, i.e. that my first dozen videos were about showing that the writings demonstrably contain data which she could not have known and had to have acquired supernaturally. Therefore, whilst we wait for a decision from Rome, the use of our reasoning faculties should tell us that these writings are the most certain to be true of all mystical writings that have ever been produced.
