Real singer . Real voice . Real instruments . Real music . Beautifully written real music evoking human emotions like love and tenderness and empathy . Can we please get back to this ? Singers with actual real talent ? Pretty please with Strawberries 🍓 on top ? And whipped cream too ?
I remember Mary getting discovered on a programme called opportunity knocks way back in the sixties I only lived up the road from her I lived in Ammanford mary lived in pontadawe, she was a beautiful girl with a beautiful voice I believe Paul McCartney took her under his wing, and the rest is history as they say, I don't know what became of her, but I do wish her all the very best
Mary left McCartney, as he looked at her as someone very young, and would let her sing songs she wanted, later on ending up with some modern band, she looked different, even sold off her 1960s clothes.
This is such a beautiful song, from a time of life thats so so sadly lost to the horrible times of today.please someone invent a time machine to go back to the 60`s/70`s.
Many of us still remember her from opportunity knocks. Sadly that means we'll all be dead soon. I just wanted to say it's been nice being a part of that generation. Thanks y'all 😅😂
Mary was a doll and her voice just pristine and beautiful...you could listen to her sing all day...a true singer, not a screamer. Not all singers have to be R and B or rock oriented to be good. Those who put a thumbs down must be tone deaf.
Mary Hopkins is an awesome woman, her beautiful voices, her envious gestures and her melodic singing not only make my everyday life happiness and joyfulness, but also will really exist like the sunshine forever in the world . I love and thank her so much.
I grew up listening to Mary then suddenly she disappeared.Turns out she hated the pop scene.Thank you RU-vid for letting me rediscover that beautiful voice. This song in particular has got into my head and I find myself humming it without thinking. t
Mary hopkin, she is one of the best singers.some of her song's, disconnect me from the world and transfer me to a different planet or world.its absolutely emotions.🌹❤️
Awesome interpretation of a traditional song from the old melodic repertoire, plus showing her beauty walking on the streets of London in 70's. Truly great !
She is so beautiful in this video. I was watching the video on "Those were the days " from her she looked good on that one too but specially in this video.
Wherever top psychology is found I will think of Mary Hopkin and her friendship in a song. Found only @ the top of a poor man's psychology. Mary Hopkin your are the top of Sunday Singer's who love. BAK
Four of us, all members of the 210th Arrty Group Band, stationed in Ansbach, Germany. We went to Frankfort, and caught a free ride to Mildenhall Airforce Base , then rode the train to London, stayed at The Douglas House, think it was about$2.00 a night, we had more fun than would be legal today I am sure. We did indeed have a ball....
The only thing sad to me about this is that you think it may sound sappy to give an apparent compliment to this beautiful song. Please don't worry about what other people think. Have a nice day.
Wow what a treat. A song I didn´t know Mary had covered as well as a video clip of her performing this old classic done by Edith Piaf as well as Brenda Lee. Thanks a million for uploading.
Shall I catch a shooting star? Shall I bring it where you are? If you want me to, I will You can set me any task I'll do anything you ask If you'll only love me still If the sun should tumble from the sky If the sea should suddenly run dry If you love me, really love me Let it happen, I won't care If it seems that everything is lost I would smile and never count the cost If you love me, really love me Let it happen, darling, I won't care Shall I catch a shooting star? Shall I bring it where you are? If you want me to, I will You can set me any task I'll do anything you ask If you'll only love me still When at last our life on earth is through I will share eternity with you If you love me, really love me Let it happen, I won't care If you love me, really love me Then whatever happens, I won't care
