Mary Hopkin is an incredibly amazing crooner. A perfect blend of her golden voice and lovely performance. Thank you, my dear Mary. God bless you for good.
Beautiful rendition of this lovely song by the wonderful Mary Hopkin. Listen to Mary’s more recent releases which are available from Mary Hopkin Music site.
Her singing, performance and beauty were out of this world. Another thing this live performance left me impressed is the careful choice of colours: the stage setting, clothing and character of the singer in this live had all blended so well.
It was Twiggy the 1960s model who spotted her on a TV talent show and told her friend Paul McCartney about her Paul contacted her mum in Wales the rest is history.
@@pjmoseley243 It's a Lennon song. I know, I know, Paul has tried to increase his % in the years after Lennon died. He certainly claims more now than he did when it came out on that album dominated by Lennon songs that sounded just like this one. What a great Lennon album Rubber Soul was. Hard to say whether Paul is lying or just falsely remembering over 50 years ago. No way his memory could be trusted now especially since it's so different than what he said back then. Paul's story is absurd as well. He claimed Lennon had this song with no music and few lyrics. So Paul told John to go away for a few minutes and Paul wrote the whole thing while John was gone. Lennon returned and it was done. Most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.
I absolutely love the Beatles and I love every single one of them, John was a total genious I love everything they did as single artist and as a group. it so good to speak with a like minded fan.
Let's see Lennon hit that range....ohhh wait my bad that's why Paul carries him lol. I like her version a million times better! (personal opinion before someone bites my head off)
BoyGeorge84 That's because she is a female singer, she naturally has a wider range than a male singer. But John wrote the song, give credit where it's due.
@maggiemae991 I have imagine sucks, and wow i could use a machine to fix my voice cracks to...Listen to Live In New York....he really can't sing sorry how i feel, obviously you feel differently....and he cannot hit the same notes as the other Beatles because Paul was the top of them all.....even Lennon said that soooo has to be true sorry
