My 4 yr old son is dancing to this song and he’s never heard it before. We over here jammin. Lol

When this song came out in 1999 or 2000? It became an Anthem. 4 people to get along a lot of gang issues in New York at that time and that became the song. That spoke about just having a good time just dancing at clubs and getting a lawn and having fun. And not hating each other. Then 9-11 happen and for a short. Of time everybody was real tight. And they are for each other. But this became a street anthem song about just chilling and having fun. No matter what affiliation you were in.

Excellent way of expressing yourself and your notions in your own fashion without the need for cussing or degradation towards anyone, and the ability to make errbody just want to dance 💃... celebrating without prejudice for the love of being able to club for the weekend and not being caught up in the middle of gunfire...

Hehe, it might be strange for y'all, but many of the people you guys only know as "actors" today started out first as music artists. Many singers and rappers from back in the day did the smart thing and crossed over to acting, because they knew it was likely that they wouldn't be able to continue selling records like they did in their hey-day; especially now the music business is in today's world. In the old days (and I'm talking like from the 50, 60s, 70s, 80s) a singer or rapper could squeeze out really long careers that lasted for several decades, but nowadays, an artist can count themselves lucky if they can stretch a lucrative career over just one decade, if that. That's because both the public and the record companies are always looking for the "next big thing", instead of nurturing an single artist or group's careers and allowing the listening public to grow with them. This might also be why the quality of music had been suffering so much in the past decade or so. No real uniqueness in artists, no development from artists. Nowadays, the acts on these record labels never get a change to develop any artistry. I come from a time where solo and group artists were able to accrue a healthy discography and you could see and experience the growth of those artists. It's a phenomenal thing to experience, which I pity the current generation for not really being able to experience because of the nature of the business. :(

Mary J and I are the same age. In the early days of her career I could not stand her, she was quite a mess and always hiding her arrogance behind dark sunglasses. (I was quite the mess myself and got sober) When Mary J got sober it was night and day with her, she blossomed in such a beautiful way. I love Mary J today and give her Mad Props, she's come a long way and toes the line. Such a beautiful woman!
