Mary Jane Thurston State Park, McClure OH. Small park, big on looks. Spacious sites! Totally Sweet!
Description:
Sweet little campground! I'm liking this. Road traffic dies down at night. Mostly grain trucks rolling through, not much in the way of Transport 18 wheelers. Nice easy hiking trails and a Frisbee course here too.
Walk into Grand Rapids! Easy walk, 3/10ths of a mile over the canal ridge. Just check the map at the campground. Quaint stores, Antiques, Clothing, and about 4 or 5 places to eat on Front Street.
You can dump at the Mariana area as I showed. There are 2 showers located there as well. Lots of parking here, may be crowded in summer though.
Defrosting can be done using a hair dryer too if you want. But I prefer this method, not nearly as noisy! As your freezer frosts up more, your temperature drops in my estimation. Ice took longer to freeze. Oddly, the fridge portion gets colder! My celery was starting to freeze.
