Not a bike expert, but I'm Pretty sure that she failed only because she leaned too much into it. The bike tilted beyond recovery, and dragged her down

I'm actually glad she failed at the slide because this is suppose to be a horror scene where MJ is making a bad decision in the heat of the moment and having a badass Akira Bike Slide would be out of place and ruin what came before and what's to come.

MJ & Peter are who I’m most looking forward to seeing interact with each other because you can’t have Peter’s Spider-man without MJ which is evidently true given the controversy with their recent break up in the comics, getting back together again 🧐😊
