I like how Peter is ashamed of himself when talking to May's grave after getting rid of the Black suit. You can feel how upset he is and how much he probably thinks he disappointed everyone.
“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat.” ~Sun Tzu~ The symbiote knew itself and, by virtue of the bonding process, knew the dark recesses of Peter’s mind. Meanwhile, Peter was unaware his new costume was a sapient creature that wanted to co-opt his body and mind.
There’s also another dialogue line from Peter when you go to see aunt May. After meeting Harry the first time and RIGHT before the Coney Island mission, when you go to her grave as Peter, he says something like “a lot of great things is happening may, Harry’s back”
After seeing this video, you know what would have been a dialogue interaction, it would that mid to late stage symbiote suit for Peter, he could have cared less about being a hero or just badmouth his dead Aunt until he realised what he said and will start to regret it, then return back to the grave to apologise for badmouthing his Aunt and hoping she could forgive him because he wasn't in the right mind
The symbiote never made him outright evil it amplified his emotions. Kraven was a fucking dick and any normal Peter would want him dead but obviously won’t act on that. .symbiote makes it possible
@@bruhmoment1761This is like saying a gun doesn't kill you, it just perforates your organs and causes bleeding. The symbiote amplified his worst, most evil traits, thus making him evil.
I love that Jeff and May are both important to Miles and Peter. In Peter's eyes, Jeff was just as much of a hero as himself and respected him as such. To Miles, May was an inspiration and helped him get through a difficult time.
During late stage Symbiote Suit Transformation / black suit, Spiderman doesn't even have dialogue with Jefferson David, only during early stage while Venom still doesn't control him
@@TheFunnyDictator If you visit May’s grave after accepting the job at EMF, he says, “So much to tell you, May. Harry’s back. We’re working together. Parker luck might be turning around.” It has to be before the mission in which the symbiote is transferred to Peter, though.
Would be nice if they let Peter talk to Ben in this game too. Idk it's not like Ben is the LITERAL REASON Pete believes in great power, great responsibility, and bears the guilt that he does.
@stefanspinu434 sure, but Ben's death literally defined Peter's entire character. Without Ben he literally would not become Spider-Man in the sense of saving people and putting himself before others. Without Ben and Ben's death, he'd just be a gimmick on the Ed Sullivan Show and WWE. It doesn't make sense he'd just ignore Ben entirely in this game in favor of May. He should have acknowledged them together. And the other comment here is right, when Li is inside Peter's mind, they should have showed Ben's death back-to-back with May's.
@@MalachiPlaysGames I can imagine it, sort of like the nightmare sequence at the end of Arkham Knight, as Miles, you appear on a street in New York, slowly walking around as you hear Peter's voice interacting with someone, maybe even referencing the Raimi film version: "Hey! You gotta stop that guy! He took my money!" "Not my problem!" and then, you hear a gunshot, as we see Peter crying over Ben's body. The symbiote inside him pulls him away, you fight off the nightmare petes, and then you get the May scene we got in game.
Only in the raimi movies did uncle Ben as big of the mythos, most of the other iterations don’t make uncle Ben a big reason, even in the older comics where the only time that Ben was mentioned in the original run was in amazing fantasy 15 and it wasn’t even much. The fact that the iconic saying wasn’t from Ben at all but something that Peter learned all by himself with the comic narrator quoting the saying at the end of the comic.
@legoben98productions that's almost completely fucking false. Ben was *huge* to Peter's mythos. Regardless of how much he was mentioned between issued 1-32 of ASM's original run, he's LITERALLY THE FUCKING REASON PETER STOPS USING HIS POWERS SELFISHLY! And the first use of Uncle Ben being the one to use the great power speech was in the 90s in a story with Wolverine, but that doesn't mean Ben had no bearing on Peter's mind in any of the comics between that. He's mentioned COUNTLESS times between the 70s and 90s spider-man comics. Ben, George Stacy, and Gwen Stacy are constantly mentioned by Peter and he almost hates himself for not being able to save them and they're huge pieces of his character development. This whole "Uncle Ben doesn't really matter" rhetoric is a bullshit consequence of the MCU choosing to slight him. Why? Contract talks? The want for more women representation thereby making May take on both her AND Ben's roles? Both maybe? Whatever the reason, it's complete bullshit. I've been reading 616 spider-man my entire life, hundreds of comics. And it's obvious that Ben is a HUGE part of the mythos, even though he wasn't mentioned often until after If This Be My Destiny (ASM #31-34)
There's a point where Peter can tell May about getting Harry back, mentioning the "Parker luck" is turning around. Dunno when it becomes available but obvs ends when Peter gets the Venom Suit.
Yeah I got that one. It was before the black suite but quite a bit into the game I think it might be around the area of the game where you visit coney island
I think it’s better to visit both graves without the black suit. Also, kinda weird that early stage black suit and removing it, Peter still shared the same thing he’d say to Jefferson’s grave. His words to May, Ben and Jeff after removing the black suit… he regrets ever wearing it. Miles being a solo Spider-Man now, well… until Spider-Man 3. Love how detailed this game is.
@multiverse_media2023 more like just managed to keep him at bay long enough to not get torn apart and talk him down and then Peter took it off himself because he's "a man of sheer fuckin will!" Haha
During late stage Symbiote Suit, When Miles visiting May’s grave if he say something like “ I’ll save him, May ” or something else to let May know that he’s going to help her nephew from these chaos, That would be great
Imagine if May was still alive and hadn’t told Peter that she knew, and she saw Spider-Man on the news with the black suit. That would’ve been so cool to see how that played out!
If May was still alive, she would've probably said something that made Peter "wake up". Peter vs Miles was obviously supposed to be a Spectacular reference, but if May was alive, I feel we would've played as Peter fighting his own Symbiote self in his head.
@@MalachiPlaysGames I get what you're saying, but given the tone of this iteration of him that was already established in the previous game, him going to 11 and being a complete savage just doesn't fit the bill
He actually does at some point with the black suit. I finished a Hunter base with the black suit and when Peter finds out Kraven's family were killed he says, "Good riddance, less scum on the earth." I'm paraphrasing a little bit but I know for sure he said good riddance.
Would have loved to see the late-stage Symbiote Suit talk with May being a cry for help, deep down Peter still knows he needs to get the suit off and back onto Harry, but he feels like he can't stop himself, a small, verge-of-tears "May.. what am I gonna do?" would've been especially poetic considering the trophy for the action is called "You know what to do."
Martin Li did some good to try and make up for the bad he’s done and the pain he’s caused but with how bad he used to be he’ll never be able to redeem himself or even if he does somehow it’s something that would take a very long time not just one game and all is forgiven that’s just idiotic if that’s the actual route they were trying to take
Literally this will be amazing because he basically doesn’t know that Peter and Miles are Spider-Men but Otto actually knows Peter is but doesn’t know for Miles. Like it’s gonna be lit asf when he becomes Green Goblin and finds out both their identities like I have a feeling Harry will wake up eventually and the disease will be gone because of Peter’s anit-venom powers
If you go to aunt mays grave after Harry comes back and getting the emf missions he will say something about how Harry is back and that Parker luck might be turning around
Would be really cool if Spider-Man 3, assuming that Peter resumes work as Spider-Man in the game and it's not just Miles & Cindy, gives us like a "Continuity Mode" setting, where if it's turned on, Peter keeps the Anti-Venom powers he obtains in this game. Because I feel like they'd have to nerf him in some way for him not to be immediately OP when the next game picks up.
@@eduardomunoz4387 I just figure that if they give us his full set from the start and it's not dulled or anything, he'd be a bit too strong to just be performing finishers with them. Like using an atom bomb where a firecracker would be needed.
Spider-man's whole gimmick is that he holds back when fighting people as to not seriously hurt them. So odds are if there is a spider-man 3 he likely wouldn't rely on the anti-venom powers early on as they're way stronger than his normal abilities. Though with how Carnage is most likely going to exist with Cletus Kassidy there is a high likelihood of him being able to use them. I think
There's really only 5/6 unique lines total between 2 characters and their parental figures, I mean they probably didn't expect people to go more than once or twice but it would have been nice to have a few more sprinkled in imo
He better not be flying solo for long. If Peter isn’t Spider-Man in this universe especially now that they’re obviously leading to a big crossover game with Several heroes I’ll be really disappointed.
It's more that Peter is taking a break from being Spider-Man instead of full on quitting to focus on Peter Parker stuff for the time being, such as spending time with MJ and working on EM Foundation stuff with the remnants he recovered, but will come back as the web head when he needs to, as for now, Miles has got it covered.
@@jbstudios3000 Not entirely true, as it's confirmed that Rhino is still alive but as we've seen Miles can handle him, Chameleon is active again, and The Flame who is Cletus Kassidy has the Carnage Symbiote, there's quite a bit on Miles plate, but we'll see how it goes, since he's certainly proven his worth as a Spider-Man.
@@MegamanZXOmega Peter doesn’t know that much is possibly out there. The moment Carnage, Goblin and Ock show up Peter will be back if they keep him in character. But then again they wrote Peter very out of character for this game in many spots so who knows. They honestly just want Peter gone.
I'm sure either a 2nd Miles game or a Silk game (I'd like a Silk game more) can be the time where Peter does science guy stuff with MJ. After that, hopefully by Spider-Man 3, Peter will return, and the MAJOR focus should be on him. At least, I really hope it is. I just want to see Peter vs. Goblin (possibly) for god's sake. Oh, and also, give Peter a happy ending.
i cant remember when in the game it is but sometime after miles find out about the black suit he says he wishes he could ask may for help and that "pete's.. not pete."
The late stage visit hits hard in a way He flat out tells his aunt and uncle's, 2 people he promised he's use his powers for good to that he's not helping people because of the suit's influence and then when he goes to Jefferson's grave there's no dialogue option apparently. Its like he doesn't even have it in him tell Davis of what the suit has been putting him through or his actions while wearing it so it's just no words spoken.
I wish that Peter could say something to Jefferson's grave while in his Symbiote form. It'd be cool if he said something like "I wish you could see how powerful I am now"
I wish Peter would say more stuff to Jefferson Davis. Like, "Your boy is a strong fighter, Jeff. I bet you're really proud of him, just like I am." "Your boy is going places, Jeff. He's becoming a new Spider-man that this city needs." "Big news, Jeff. Miles saved my life from an alien. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be standing here now"
What about when he had the black suit on? Peter: "Don't worry, Jeff. Thanks to this new suit, I've become so much stronger. I'll make sure tragedies like yours never happen again."
Norman really trusts Peter and hates Spiderman but oh boi oh boi until we're getting a third game,Otto might spell Peter's secret identity to Norman... Which will turn things upside down.
No worry when goblin comes back I’m sure he will give miles the beats and if he finds out who Spider-Man is u know he will only target Peter more so than miles he would feel like Peter betrayed him and Harry so most likely I can see him besting miles to the point where he makes miles call out to Peter for help or we might get red goblin who is a whole different beats compared to green goblin he is like a 4 person job in the comics and seeing as carnage was implied that is a strong possibility it would take anti agent venom miles and Peter to stop him goblin alone is strong enough to hold his own against Spider-Man even beating him on some occasions so now add carnage on top of that they would be crazy to see idk if silk will be in the next game because tbh she seemed to young she looked 13-14 lol maybe she will have a moment at the end of Spider-Man 3 where she tells miles hey I have something to show u and she shows off her powers like how miles did for Peter in the first game and the game ending with a “the legend the myth continues on “ kinda ending maybe Peter might even die at the end of it and that’s when they show silk at the end as a way of showing how miles is now the one and only Spider-Man and he now has to mentor his step sister or something like that who knows
It honestly would be incredibly weird if aunt May would still be alive during the events of this game. I mean just imagine if infected Peter just suddenly rages and kills aunt May, now that would be good motivation for peter to just rip off the symbiote all by himself, just like in Spider-Man 3
@randomgamer625 after Peter and MJ are reunited with Harry after his "trip to Europe." I think it's after or around the point when he shows Peter the Emily May Foundation.
Imagine if Jeff rose from the grave to tell Miles to take that goofy-ass suit off. Got the nerve to use a better suit to talk to “Mrs. Parker” but not his old man… “You look the same way Aaron jams…” -Jefferson Davis
Not that it takes away from the game but Mile’s VA portrays Miles kinda weird imo. Idk but his tone and delivery hit weird sometimes, but I still think he’s dope in this series.
