Yeah and in real life she also did sign her name like Marie and not like Mary or at least they found a letter where she signes her named that way. I am asking myself as when she was named Marie as a baby if it was documented as « Marie » or as « Mary » and if the fact that she signs her letters by Marie is because it is the real way to write her name or if that is because she lived half her life in France and was acostumed of writing her name in that way ^^
@@dominiquechenaux2347 it technically could be both because Marie is just the French spelling of the name Mary. Mary was sent to France when she was five and was raised there. She always considered herself to be French so that's how she spelled her name, but other people spelled it differently.

@@dominiquechenaux2347 I'm not really sure because Mary was named after her mother, and her mother's name is spelled differently according to different sources. Mary herself always spelled her name as "marie", but marie and mary are pronounced differently and we'll never know how her name was pronounce. It's the same with other monarchs back then
