I wished they were able to get together first and discuss their relationship, then the planning, details of the tour before anything else. It was an unfortunate situation.
When it came to "The Supremes", once the 1970s became a new experience & era for Mary Wilson, & Her Now Supremes,, then later the inevitable disbanding of The Motown "Supremes" Legacy.. Ms Wilson would now be respected by many, as "The Supremes Lady", that kept them going 1st rate til the end.. Ms. Wilson deserved what ever she wanted with this tour.. By the year 2000 she Was The Supremes.. She helped start the Legacy & ended it after 17 or 18 or so years with Motown Records,, when she went out as a Great solo artist as Mary Wilson or as The Great solo SUPREME.. If the promoters would of wanted her as a "guest" for the Diana Ross Return To Love Tour,, then yes,, she probably would of taken the nice amount of money they offered her, but as a guest artist.. But if it came to A Supremes Show,, The Lady Supreme deserved to be a part of the creativity, business & equal profit sharing of EVERYTHING.. At first for a while , a lot of us had to heal over this unfortunate let down, for what could of been one of the Biggest reunions of the new 21st century. Nobody was a winner out of this. But Thank God with time both Ms. Wilson & Ms. Ross would come out shinning in their own individual ways & Spread More Love where ever they would appear or perform.. Rest In Heaven Lady SUPREME Mary Wilson.. And Miss Diana Ross we still LOVE you..
Mary Wilson said she couldn't fight Motown Berry or Diana but she told Berry just try it when told her he didn't like Jean and she told him Jean stays and you just try it and it's in her Book but yet she loved Flo so much
So sad that this bad blood happened between them! Mary and Diana came from one of the best singing groups of all time. The Supremes were a very successful singing groups. Too bad that their relationships wasn't just as good!

I am an ultimate fan of Diana Ross and loved the Supremes. However, Mary is right in that she and Diana Ross needed to have a private conversation because I believe they both probably suffered the same emotions when the group broke up. Ross had to face serious fears and loneliness, trying to become a solo artist and movie actress with no supporting net to catch her. However, just because Ross and Wilson relationship was non-existent, their love and respect for one another never died. I saw interviews with Mary Wilson just before she died, and she was at peace, and the bitterness and resentment toward Ross had evaporated. If Mary was offered the same opportunities as Ross for superstardom, Mary would have done exactly what Diana Ross did. Hail to the Supremes who Black entertainers rest upon their shoulders.
Diane elevated herself too much and that was the cause of the problem. She came back down to Earth when the Supremes tour was a BIG flop. Then she turned to drinking.
All the girls shared vocals on those songs whether or not they were front women. It was the trio as a whole that was an attraction, which was why the tour flopped without Mary.

She was even arrested for drunk driving. I saw it on a police cam pleading with the police to not let that get out. The police told her they couldn't promise her anything. @@GGE47this lady is a legend on her own and still selling out shows. The tour was her but she wanted to surprise the fans with their dreams. Similar to how Beyoncé sometimes brings out Kelly and Michelle but never the originals. She was always drinking but it was her divorce that really hurt. Please don’t give the supremes that much power over the lead star.
Diane got called out by Mary Wilson... Ever since Miss Wilson's book Dream Girl my life as a Supreme,.. The best selling autobiography ever Diane Ross career has grounded to a halt. Now by anyone's stretch of Imagination she is not a good person or even nice. Diane's will have no more number one's and that is how it should be Thanks Mary.😊
Never believed Diana's side of this. It never made sense financially. Mary Wilson was as important as Diana. As was Florence and Cindy. Diana or the promoters thought otherwise. And with all things that aren't honest it all backfired.
They never got back together because greedy Ross was sleeping with the boss, an she didn't want Mary or Flo to stop her. It's all so sad, Ross an Gordy destroyed Flo's life, an they derailed Mary's career. Ross to me, is sickening an low life human.
I guess all the people talking negative things about Diana Ross would reject a good job offer in order to please their friends. Berry Gordy was a businessman first and above all. He knew where the money was and who had the most marketable voice. 12 number one singles with the Supremes and 6 more as a solo artist plus an Oscar nomination and a gazillion of other achievements are proof of that. He believed in her more that she even believed in herself. Business is all about money so, their relationship was second to that. There are trains that only come once in a lifetime. If Diana Ross was a guy, we would be thinking of her as a powerful, important man instead of a bitch. Take that offer, you are not offending anyone. If you don't take it, another person will take it away from you. They won't be sorry for you, right? Life is hard so, if someone believes in you, don't reject that opportunity. Had Mary or Flo been given the same opportunity, they would have done what Diana did.

Who was most popular Mary Wilson or Diane Ross? To me Diane came across as the bitter one and I saw Mary hit the talk shows and I never tire of hearing her talk about the Supremes. Diane blamed other people for the reunion when in fact she wanted the spotlight all by herself.
RTL was Diana's tour she was co producer and the reason she was paid more Ross invited all the Supremes Jean Terrell and Susaye Greene declined the offers while Mary and Cindy accepted so did Lynda and Scherrie
