Masaryk University Honorary Degree Convocation: Professor Michael Seng (October 17, 2018) 

On October 17, 2018, Professor Michael Seng, Director of the Law School's Czech/Slovak Legal Institute was awarded an honorary law degree from Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic in recognition of his more than two decades of work with the institutions' exchange program.
The exchange program between the Law School and the Faculty of Law at Masaryk University started in 1993 as a result of initiatives through the American Bar Association, which promoted exchanges between law schools in the U.S. and in Eastern and Central Europe after the fall of communism. The purpose of these programs was to promote the rule of law in these former communist countries.
