I started watching anime in 2018 because of my Girlfriend. We saw this masterpiece together in 2019. My Girlfriend died in December 2019.And I have been listening to this non-stop. She was a bigger weeb than I was. She loved emotional anime like this. Now when I look back at this film and this song I can relate it to more and it never stops hurting. This song reminds me a lot about her. It reminds me the good time I spent with her, but I won't get such time again. I miss her and love her so much. So for me this song is never getting old. I’m not making an example out of myself but I definitely know some people who had to break relationships due to long distance. This really really really hits you in the heart.

saw this back in 2009, I was 9 years old back then one of the first few animes i ever saw, back then i couldn't really understand why when i watched it i felt sad and why my heart was writhing and tears were flowing down my eyes. fast forward 9 years later, I decided to watch it again, same results but now I understood why. it really shows the reality of how hard it is to maintain relationships when far apart specially with the limited amount of options for communication in that time they're in and eventually you have to make a decision to either end it and move on or hang on to the thin rope of hope you have left that maybe, just maybe your partner was hanging on to that rope too.

Thought I'd let this blast into my ears for a study session. Now I can't focus and have a heart ache instead :(

This movie was recommended by a friend and I was like, what's it about? She said just watch it. I only remembered that I have already watched this movie years ago. I think my brain purposefully blocked this memory when I watched it five years ago, because of how depressing and realistic the story is.

5 centimeters per second is one of my favorite anime movie. It shows the reality of life and two person who used to love each other. You really can feel the emotion through his singing, and I love it even though it hurts.

This is the reality, where you don't get your love everytime and just move on with the flow. You just get flashbacks of good memories and those bad memories haunt you but at some point of time bad memories stop haunting you and you become used to with all the emotions. Eventually you start discovering yourself. The pain, the happiness becomes used to. I guess this is what life is. Every situation makes you strong.

2022.. painful yet unforgettable..love the anime

I left him 3 years ago. He still can't get over me. I wish he had moved on. I'm still haunted by some good old memories we made together. It was evening. We went to a coffee shop. It was raining outside while sun was setting. And it was getting dark. I could see dark busy rainy street by the glass walls. He was so sweet to me. He was telling about his school days and making me laugh. I was listening to him quietly. He didn't have much money. So i told him to order whatever he wants to. He ate half of his bun and took his plate and went outside to give that to a street kid. I was so touched. We went out of that coffee shop and it was still raining. If i could i would relive that day again.

It's my first time listening to this song, i didn't look at the translated lyrics but the pain it's giving to me is unexplainable.

I used to hate and love this movie, hate how sad it made me yet love it as well... Its starting to Grow on me now. The Melancholic Bittersweet feelings this Movie gave relates to me whenever I think about My past. My Regrets, the amount of times I Moved from places to places similar to the Protag, The Friends I made, the People I fell in love with, I parted with them All promising to one day meet again, A Bittersweet Lie... thinking back, I probably meant it but, was also covering my feelings of knowing i'll never meet them again, by making a Broken yet Sweet Promise... I Love Watching Romance movies cause they make me Happy.. The romance I didnt have, that I would like to have. So when I watched this movie which had a Bittersweet Ending and how Real it felt, it reminds me of my Own Life and regrets. That made me Insanely Sad... This takes me back to when I had my first crush in high school, and those innocent days when we were all growing up. Coincidentally, my crush from then also rejected me and dated my closest friend. And as much as I really came to dislike them, I also discovered this movie around then, and it sort of helped me come to terms with the fact that not every love comes to fruition, sometimes especially the ones you hope will work out. Sometimes it’s just better to move on before it gets to you. Unfortunately this also happened when I was 3/4 of the way done with high school so part of me really wished i found it sooner.

I know majority of people love "your name" but personally I feel this movie had much more depth, emotions and maturity.
