I have my turntable connected to my serato mixer and my mixer to my audio interface.. 😬 and I haven't tried connect directly, but check out the link! Thanks! Yeah, the MV is quite special.. unfortunately not so sample friendly, not like Maschine or MPC.

@@BoombapArt yeah I’m stuck with it lol. I load samples via SD card. It does work with Zen Beats. But for the price of the MV1 it should at least have some more memory. That’s my biggest gripe. That and the sample start stop is way too granular. Your beats are smooth. I like the SP404 you have. I also was considering the AKAI MPC3000. Idk now a days you can do it all in DAW. Analog does sound better though.

@@fsecofficial I hear you my friend! I haven't used a lot with Zen Beats, but I guess it's a lot easier. Yeah, the 404 MK2 is lovely.. in my opinion better than the MV1, and also cheaper. I'm not a DAW person, been using Maschine Software for a couple of years now, but I really like working with standalone devices..

@@fsecofficial I have a few affiliate links in my description, nothing I promote really. It’s not a bad machine, just wish it had better ways for editing samples. It has a nice seq, easy to adjust steps.. but the sampling part, slicing samples is terrible compared to other devices in the same price range.

Jabari Bruce Ah cool! Maschine gang 💪🏻 when it comes to mixing I’m terrible at it, what I focusing more on is leveling everything. When it comes to sampling, maybe start with soul/jazz.. but you can find dope samples from any genre, just need to spend the time and listen to a lot of music. Sure, hit me up on IG @boombapart 👊🏻

Wayne Thomas Thanks 👊🏻 I’m not sure.. I know that I wrote that in another video, but incorrectly.. 😬 I often sample at a higher or lower pitch depending on what type of beat I’m making, and do some fine tuning after that.. I rarely sample at original speed!

SON WU Thanks man! 👊🏻 Yes, I can recommend the MK3.. but, there’s times when I need to look at the computer.. only had mine a couple of months, but I’m trying to only work with the hardware! I’m no expert.. But if I had a MPC I could probably do the same shiit..

No problem man! The power of MPC LIVE, it's a stand alone unit.. you can bring it everywhere with just a pair of headphones and make beats on the fly! I used a Tracker program called "Madtracker" for 20 years before I converted to "hardware". Every instrumental on my channel is made with Madtracker + a couple of thousands more 🙂

BoogieKimX I’m planning to make a beatmaking documentary covering my entire workflow. 👊🏻 I’m terrible at scratching, need to practice my cuts myself.. so for that one I recommend you to check out “Skratch poop”, they have great tutorials 👌🏻

This is dope as hell G, is there a reason why you use a preamp along with the mk3? I've heard tell you can just plug the record player into the mk3 via analog cords (i'm sure you know this) I'm curious for setting up a personal studio and getting the best sound quality possible.

Thanks man! 🙏 No, no reason for an extra audio interface.. unless you have other stuff you want to plugin, but when I bought my setup I decided to have one IF I for some reason would sell the MK3, and I run my mixer through it so I can run Serato DJ, maybe I'm totally wrong how I set everything up..I don't know, but it works for me!
