There are so many things wrong in this video I don t even know where to start. But I ll name 2: 1. Masculine does not equal emotionally detached. Being a manly man does not equal a robot. Haven t you seen manly men at a footbal game? Or at a bar fight? Expressing sadness, excitment or anger? Men also have emotions but chose not to show them in all ocassions. 2. Men who seek casual fun and sex don t even know or care what type of woman you are! They try it out with everyone until they succeed. If men actually took the time to get to know the women they might actually find that the woman they think have masculine energy or are emotionally detatched actually are not that at all! I am extremely emotional and sensitive...I just don't let everyone see that. When you have had to live your whole life protecting yourself, it is hard not to carry yourself in a certain way to the world. Private me is a VERY different person! I had a man I had know for years (ex co-worker) tell me that he was surprised just how soft I really am once we started seeing each other, and he started to get to really know me. He wanted to learn me and know the real me. He actually ended up treating me better than any man I have ever been involved with.
You need to heal your trauma so you can be your authentic self everywhere. Men don’t want a puzzle to figure out. You need solve the puzzle of yourself first.

@shannon white Being able to be that with a man I can trust that with is great however that isn't condusive of some situations. I knew him from a job where I was a supervisor in a male dominated place. Once we started dating years later, he took the time to get to know the real me (and vice versa). People at work don't need that. What makes me tick isn't my co-workers business, and me being emotional wasn't something I could do in the environment we were in. Lol. I feel you though. Being able to feel safe to be vulnerable with him felt wonderful.

As an emotionally detached dismissive avoidant I have the opposite experience. When men see I don't easily get attached, all of a sudden they want a girlfriend. No, dude when I said I'm not looking for anything serious I meant it. Remaining objective in dating is important until you know you're compatible and it makes logical sense to get serious with someone who meets your standards.
When I was emotionally unavailable and distant I always had men who got attached. I was still feminine just extremely stoic and emotionally reserved and distant. Now that I have become more open and warm seems like the opposite happenes and I've attracted some emotionally unavailable man lately.
What I'm learning is men will assume a lot of things to make excuses to use women and run. It's a lot of areas women "Cannot" be in order to have a meaningful and committed relationship. What happened to the days when a man truly falls in love with a woman flaws and all? Two people working on a relationship together.
Also you’re putting those guys in the friend zone and trying to get them back when you’re older and less attractive to men. Interesting, b/c my best guess is that by this measure, it’s not that the man isn’t committal, just that they aren’t interesting in committing to you, the so-called masculine woman. They’ll leave you alone for the feminine woman they meet. That woman requires less, somehow doesn’t question things about the man they “should” (logic) and makes a man think that she’s the kind of difficult he’s more willing to tolerate. She’s a yes woman to most things, including sexual intimacy upfront, and when she’s “surprised” that he’s seeing other ppl, he fears losing her over sharing this knowledge with her. He then makes a decision to forego all other partners to make more room in his life for her. Us women have to trust he don’t got no life long STD’s, deal breaker trauma and drama for which we aren’t willing to stick through post sexual intimacy that likely has already been activated. Yet we’re labeled too much… Trust him upfront for him to leave when the next shiny object of his affection comes into or back into his peripheral. Why is it always considered too much to genuinely require getting to know and have and not be afraid of commitment ahead of sexual intimacy? Why does that fall under the category of masculine energy, especially if the attraction and groundwork for connection is already there?
