Interesting. They've found salt water is an important component of Roman concrete. They need to create rainwater harvesting earthworks so the salt is washed out of the usable layers of soil. Covered soil especially if planted with biome-appropriate trees preserves moisture better than surface water stored in reservoirs, lakes etc. Beautifully done project. Really clever ideas. Shame crucial funding fell thru. They need to reinstate that crucial funding because it will reduce operating costs.
