I think that you have forget that hip hop has evolved since the mid to late 90's. During this era, hip hop, and rap was more of a dance culture. Today, the lyrics are about expressing yourself; whereas listeners are not dancing; they are listening for enjoyment to lyrics that are not limited when expressing yourself with lyrics.

Publishing rights back? He may have made them available, but last time I checked, dead and/or deported artists weren't exactly able to acquire their masters.. Are you not familiar with the trail of "mysterious" deaths that kept occuring in Puffs circle?
