First, R.I.P To Guru true lyricist in da game to ever rap. Mase did his thing in this freestyle. Shout out to his brotha Blinky Blink as well. But Mase flow & bars are underated he wrote bars for numerous artist on da low & he had crazy bars in freestyles & cyphers too. He was dat NIGGA!!!!!!
@@TheUncleBungle You know this how? You got the evidence in your possession? You got the notepad with the lyrics written in his handwritting above your fireplace mantle or sum?
I remember hearing this on the show all those years ago. Loved the beat and mase did his thing. Only found out years later that it was the "been around the world remix" beat.
On the last Mase verse he includes what ended up being his opening verse on “Top Of The World” by Brandy (‘98 also) .. and also caught he spits a verse that puff used line for line on “Do It Again” off of Double Up with Mase. Cool to hear. Another example of Mase writing puffs lines too. A lot of times these freestyles end up being incorporated into their songs
With Ma$e, the live on air freestyles you heard that later appeared in his songs, most of the freestyles were actually freestyles but he usually did that to test how people received and responded to them. If they were received well, then he put them in his songs. Or usually, if the freestyles were prolly around the time he was working on his album. The freestyle verses here were later heard in songs: We Gon Make It (with AZ), Minute Man, Do It Again
They went (In & Out) from Written to True Freestyle. 90's... Just to be a Top '10' Artist on the charts; then you had to have BAR'S... Pre-internet Buzz... Hip-Hop
Remember this all those years ago, was the first time I heard the Been Around The World Remix beat. Was blown away by mase's flow and smooth delivery too!

Man Mase my favorite, I been listening since the 90's. Mase ran Hip-hop like Drake did, but they hated him bc he was only 20 & they had no answers for him. They was glad he went to church. The powers that be in hip-hop scared he gon take over hip-hop with God so they'll never let him get the platform like he did before
