Nice vid - came across this because there are very few substantial reviews of the Trofeo out there in RU-vidland (loud music and destroying tyres in a car park are not automotive journalism!) Really accomplished presentation - good job. A slightly better mic to lift the audio would make your vids even better.
Thanks Geraint, glad you liked the video! Agree about the audio, it has been an issue for a while. Got another option to try for the next video. I have to do everything through my phone, so options have been a bit limited.
I also would like to mention, the sound was very low, even on full volume, it's not a problem with my phone, but just making you aware, hope you can increase the volume while filming on the next video, as this one was quite abit low.
Thanks for letting me know. I don't have the greatest recording equipment (as you can probably tell!!) so I was trying to cut down the background hum and over cooked it.
Aural stimulation from a beautiful Italian never gets boring 😉 Obviously SOUNDS better than written lol.... Father had the Quattroporte 4.2 and Granturismo 4.7. Literally music to the ears😍 Always assumed the ghibli was the poorer version, perhaps from seeing the diesel version on the road. How wrong was I! Personally think they'd be onto a winner with an xdrive style awd fitted like the M5, M3 etc where one can turn it off if they wish and revert back to rwd. Was that shodding pzeros by any chance?! They usually are 😒
Agreed, the sound is wonderful. It's a great engine and they've brought it all together really well here. The other Ghiblis have had mixed reviews, to put it politely. The RWD system is a good point, copying BMW wouldn't be the worst idea. It was a wee bit lively at times, so that 4WD safety net is no bad thing, as you you could easily end up in a hedge in this!! Pirellis indeed...
@Miles Ahead Motoring 😉😃 Still silly money, imo, but no doubt will sell. Is the ghibli effectively the Granturismo chassis but with a more sedate look and 2 more doors?! Haven't felt the need to anally research like I did with my GR! Interesting to see your comments on other ghiblis! You're certainly testing some extremely good cars, albeit with the tesla 🤮 amongst them lol...😉👍
@@James-RJM it is mad money, but given what it's up against, does a surprisingly good job of justifying it. It's the sort of car you'd have to really want in order to justify, but I think it's the sort of car you should really want... Not sure on the chassis. I think it was built from thr ground up. A new GT is coming, albeit in EV form. How's the GR treating you? Thanks! Although the Tesla was better than I expected! For the price, it offers quite a lot. And it was really easy on a day trip to Liverpool and back. They're not quite there yet perhaps as the full ticket, but they make a lot of sense at the same time. They'll only improve with future editions I think.
@Miles Ahead Motoring Yeah so far so good!! Great ALL year round, grin factor daily, especially when it's raining 🙂 Had an M2 next to me at lights the other day, was raining, they didn't even try!! Still quite rare on the road, in convenience pack guise it's extremely rare which is great. No regrets re model or spec, does everything I want/need as a daily. The Goodyear Eagle f1 asymmetric 5's I had fitted b4 collection are very good, A6's are out now. Will be interesting to see their comparison alongside other tyre make updates for my next fitment. I drive it predominantly in track mode, 50/50 so tyres are wearing evenly all round. The longterm average fuel consumption is 25.3 lol...... I mainly do short and enthusiastic trips 🙃🙂
