Try these nutritious Maash / Urad Daal Laddu at home.
Recipe:
Ingredients:
Black Gram / Maash / Urad Dal - 1 std cup or 200 grms
Almonds / Badam - 20
Sugar / Shakar - 1/4th std cup sugar
Melted Clarified Butter / Pure Ghee - 1/4th cup
Honey / Shahed - 4 tbsp
Procedure:
1. Roast black gram or maash or urad dal on medium to low flame till its raw smell goes off and till it attains a very light brown colour. Before removing, immediately lift the pan from the stove to prevent burning.
2. Crush almonds roughly and keep aside.
3. Grind roasted black gram or urad dal into a fine powder and keep aside.
4. Grind sugar into a fine powder and keep aside.
5. To a large bowl, add powdered black gram, powdered sugar and crushed almonds.
6. Mix well.
7. Add melted clarified butter or pure ghee.
8. Add honey and mix well.
9. Mold into round laddus. Press well to make the laddus firm.
10. Roll between the palms to give them a round shape.
11. You can make 10 medium sized laddus out of this mixture.
12. Leave for at least one hour before consuming so that they attain the firm texture.
13. Enjoy these nutritious laddus.
