I just want to say, the unsung hero of this fight is Waddle Dee. I find this line ridiculously clever "We can't be citizens if you clench your last win Cause there can't be a kingdom IF THE KING IS GONE"

I love how the music straight up stops when dedede says “hey Kirby! I stole your awful cake!”, it fits the moment so funnily

I mean, in Dedede’s defense... Kirby isn’t just a baby. He’s a friggin demon slayer covered in pretty pink wrapping paper. And Dedede STILL gave him a run for his money

“Don’t whine and cry, I’ve done that plenty on my own. I was a punching bag, but Dedede has grown! This wrestlin’ ring is where a king can take a stand. And prove himself the rightful leader over Dream Land!” I love those lines- the king realizes he’s been the butt of a joke for too long and finds himself a failure because of it. He’s trying to put Kirby in his place and prove that he’s a good king! Who’s he proving it to, you ask? Not the Waddle Dee’s, they know he’s a good king. They wouldn’t obey him otherwise (see the food uprising). Not Meta Knight or Escargoon, they both know he’s trying his best and that Kirby is just doing his best. Definitely not Kirby, he just wants his cake. He’s proving it to himself. He thinks he needs to give his own life meaning

i really like this fight beacuse of the history. Dedede is not turning back, he gives to you the most powerful weapon in the game and learns te move the move that makes you "Invincible". BUT he loses again but in the final he sees all his loyal servants supporting him. And in the final Dedede and kirby they became friends and all of this is beautiful, but what makes me real sad is the fact of the most of people who beats this boss didn't see se this lore.

Dedede: hey Kirby! I stole your awful cake! Kirby: PEACE WAS NEVER AN OPTION.

This really makes me happy cause like. The anime NEVER went for a redemption ark for Dedede. They only hinted at it. This is one thing I wish the anime would have done and given us something showing us Dedede has changed and wants to be better. NOT TO MENTION. Added points for not forgetting Escargoon cause he is like my favorite character. So thank you! Amazing singing my guy XD

This is Beautiful, A king tired of losing against his rival, decides to settle it in a final battle against said rival, and loses it along with his castle. Saddened by his defeat, he decides to leave Dreamland in hopes of the place getting a better king. Yet, his loyal waddle dees don’t want him, and go to give him comfort.

I like how this proves that Dedede is actually not just some arrogant penguin. He actually has subjects who care about his well-being and a limit to his ego. Well done! P.S: I know this comment is REALLY late, but that’s because I still come back to watch this series (and I realized I hadn’t commented on this one before)!

I REALLY loved this video - it truly feels like a "Dedede's Last Stand" sort of vibe like the original Revenge of the King story from Kirby Super Star Ultra, really making it feel like the Dedede's Theme with Lyrics, but darker and more desperate. And then the 'end credits' sung at the end with the Waddles cheering up Dedede at the end was just really beautifully done. And... as always, it's REALLY funny. Like... this is probably the funniest one yet - I think the parts that really cracked me up were the "Penguins Log" montage bit at the beginning, "ULTIMATE DEDEDE SPIN WAAAAAAABABABABlBRBRBLBRBRBRBRB" and then "AWW GUYS!!! LET'S GO HOME AND FEED ME A PIE!!!" I think I rewound the video to that last part so many times now. X,D Really well done, RecD!! This was amazing!!

I wasn’t expecting much from this song, but I came out pleasantly surprised after watching this video. The character arc Dedede went through this series was pretty touching, especially through this video. It’s nice to see Dedede turn a guy trying to prove his worth to sky baby by beating him at a race he beat everyone at to a guy to genuinely cares for his friends and doesn’t want to see them hurt. Also, the little montage from Dedede’s log was also great. It counted some of the more memorable attempts of Dedede trying to antagonize Kirby during his more villainous stages. I loved the little nods to Kirby; Right Back At Ya, the Dark Matter trilogy, and that one game with a name I forgot about where Kirby was a pinball. The “Don’t whine and cry, I’ve done that plenty on my own!” is also a nice callback to the first Kirby vs Dedede, where the crowd sang “Don’t whine and cry, because this match is perfectly unfair!”. Also, Marx potentially get a song in the future is also a big yes for me. TL;DR, This video was a lot better than I thought it would be because Dedede became a better person, and the references are also cool. Also, Marx is cool.

That ending was really sweet. Triple D really cares about his pals.

Kirby super star ultra was the first kirby game i ever played and this gives me so much nostalgia lol. I really love how he added characters from the kirby anime.
