I personally like to use Zinzer cover stain oil base primer with Dunn Edwards Aristashield. The primer sticks extremely well and sands better than any water base product i have ever tried. The finish paint will dry really hard and with sanding looks amazing.
I just did my first Cabinet job a week ago and i couldn't find this video and now that I am done you post it haha. The job went extremely well because of your videos and the masking was done just fine. No real tricks to it, just common sense. Thanks for another great video!
Best thing I ever did was buy additional maskers. I was using 1 for so long and swapping out paper to plastic and vice versa. Man, what a game changer when I did that. I can't imagine not having more than one now. Things you learn along the way that make life so much better.

Yep clean clean clean is the name of the game!..my only issue with frog tape is when I use oil based stain...ive learned to use like a sponge to wet it and activate the gel stuff or use clear caulk cuz it will sail under the tape.

I noticed you pulled out the sander after the masking was complete. 1) Is this the preferred method (ie mask then sand)? 2) do you sand the edge of the face frame after masking ? Great video! I used the 3M masker on buffet table this week. It made masking so much faster.
not sure if all places are doing this but thought i'd pass it along,just went to sherwin williams in california to get some primer and i didn't notice till i left that they are now charging a 4% supply chain charge through the end of the year so because the guy didn't say a fucking word about it to me,they just lost a customer.

When it comes time to remove the masking at the end of the job, how do you deal with paint that has bridged over and dried onto the blue backing tape? Doesn’t it crack as you peel off the blue tape?

1, time consuming. 2, and this is me personally, they don't go back on as easy. Whoever put them in might have stripped the screws, bored out the holes what not, don't chance it. I take over them too. Never have had an issue
