I believe the organizers are missing an opportunity here. People like her should be rewarded independent of the end score. It is no small feat to speak Yoruba in this day and age without code switching. I'd go further to say speaking uninterrupted Yoruba is just as difficult as the quiz itself.
Those questions are the most difficult questions ever on this program, she deserves the best gift, she really tried, infact there should be gift for anyone who do not speak english althrough
And again... the presenter knew who was coming, they also prepared some tough questions too, this is the first time they are using numbers from 300 also.
I don't think people should lose points for not identifying the numbering. We can all agree numbering is one of the most difficult part of our language. Losing points in the same sequence as answering the question is like double jeopardy. You can help them with the numbering but answering the question correctly and not speaking English throughout the programme should be the main thing to comply with.
@@olaoluwapobalogun664 my opinion on this is; once a contestant see the question and does not know it, don't waste time, just tell the Olotu to remove and move on instead of treating it differently.
The program is called “Masoyinbo” so you are expected to know everything in Yoruba language….its just like a white man being in an interview and they ask to translate a question in English and they should respond with not knowing it!!! The program is just basically drawing everyone’s attention about not forgetting our culture and heritage, because how will you say you understand English properly(another man’s language) and not take pride and understand yours!!!! I personally have learnt numbers from this show.. Think about it.
I found that speaking a mother tongue language does not necessary means that the person fully understood the language, that is why you will see an English speaking countries fails test of English language for an example. Of which, all the school subjects were taught using that language. Understanding mother tongue language is more difficult when an official language is a foreign language. Example of such situation is Nigeria. Most of us can not speak our mother tongue language without having a difficulties. No one would be able to get full price on this program, maybe, a language professor because we have seen performance of Yoruba language graduates. This is not their fault. It is just because they are not totally used to the language. Knowing every birds and animals in your language is impossible. Meanwhile, for one to be excellent in this program means that you must good in English language equally with Yoruba language. This program is an eyes opener for our nation. Ire ooo.....
It's like numbering is the most difficult aspect of Yoruba language. Plesae Masoyinbo, teach us Yoruba numbers here. The programme has really toosed up. Well done.
It’s the way presented acted as if he didn’t know she was coming before hand, yet the questions were unusually harder. That being said, it was educative and enjoyable
Excellent show. Please try to include the image of the guest in the thumbnail pictures. It's helpful in distinguishing and looking for specific episodes on RU-vid.
@@kuforijioluwaseyi650 yes, i keep trying to show my mom and a few friends some particular episodes but it's difficult to find which is which since a majority have only the host's image.
I never sure! There’s anyone that will come to this man show and go with that 1million! Cuz wtf! Even the numbering itself no be child play! Kudos to you sir! I enjoy this program🥺🙏😊
@@odemakindeoyekola6212 Yes you are right. But I have this strong believe in my knowledge of yoruba that I will win the prize if I make it to the show. Or maybe I'll find out I don't know as much as I thought.😀😀
Although she tried for not mixing another languages with Yoruba but she was hugely helped by the presenter by allowing her to skip the numberings aspect 😂😂
This is the third participant that scale through without code mixing. Despite presenter efforts to set her up😂😂. She did well . Those questions are no jokes sha😂😂😂
The truth is,she needs to be more knowledgeable about Yoruba numbers as a Yorùbá specialist and a Yorùbá newscaster. She really needs it for news casting.Nonetheless,l salute her courage and her not diluting Yorùbá with English Language.🎉
To make it more engaging and to promote wider participation and stimulate increased interest, I don't think people should lose points on numbering except if you have numbering less than 100. This is an interesting programme and I'm really impressed by this woman's performance.
For the fact that she didn’t make any mistakes of speaking ordinary ‘so’ in all conversations She really deserve a special gift seriously They’ve have other Yoruba presenters on the program but they still speak English
So, something needs to be done about the scoring system on this show as I do not understand why the sweet lady should be punished twice on just one question. Failing a question is what should lead to the loss of prize money, as structured. There can (should) be another scoring system of the "ounka." If contestants get punished for failing the "ounka," it's only fair that they should be rewarded whenever they get it, which isn't the case.
Olotu this thing na plan work you kw her job and planned the perfect questions for her 😂, kudos to her. I follow Yoruba programs up as a lover of ede Yoruba, but in today's program i no sabi any question, kudos to u guyz.
Baba nor be so jooor ...she decleared her job on the show Abi? did you see them bring or change the questions at hand ???? It was already on the table before sheentioned her job
@@oloofofo_masoyinbo Olofofo the questions were hard, i always watch with my wife and children and answer some of the questions before your guest or olotu do, but this one i was just watching i couldn't remember answering any because it was as if am in a classroom learning them fresh. I love what you guyz are doing keep it up, Eku Ise Opolo 😘😘😘😘
Infact today question is too hard oo 😂😂 even me self no fi answer one here 😅😅😅 I love this woman hw she used to accept the answer when they finally told her 😊😊like she showed that she wants more knowledge too 😊😊
The fact that she can speak Yoruba all thru without English....kudos to her, I give it to u 100/100.....she only missed d nums and ANS........I love her
This program is now discuss now I love this program because is the most lesson program have len alot Very soon i we come to the program but make i know 300 to 500 😅😅
Olukopa yii gbiyanju daada debi wipe ko so ede Oyinbo rara🎉❤🎉❤. Sugbon onkaye Yoruba ati wipe pupo ninu awon ibeere to n mu lota koko nikoje ko ri owo gba ju eyi ti o rigba lo. Sibesibe, mo gboriyin fun.
Now I see why olofofo will not talk, the guy na Igbo, Henry 😂😂😂... MY love for olotu, You're doing a great Job sir, the way you entertain your guest is top notch sir...May God keep strengthen you BossMAn
One could wonder why this episode is so difficult , perhaps she was set up considering her background 😂. Not insinuating anything but can we recommend the participate to pick their questions rather than olofofo doing it 😂 By the way, this is the less enthusiastic version of olofofo I've ever seen. ❤❤❤
Either you pick or I give to you it's the same thing cos there are just 10 questions in the box that you'll have to answer it's 10 per participant and all we do is bring a box to the table regardless of who is seated there you can either be lucky or fortunate to get hard questions or soft ones
Yoruba Language graduation, reading news in Yoruba should do better than this in Yoruba numbering. But I like the fact that she did not code-mix. Good outing
They bearly use far numbering while communicating in Yoruba, for example news paper cant have page 200 or 300 plus and for those creeper, ahoro in English and its likes , they rarely use those words to communicate to lagosian for better understanding.
It's a good performance from the lady, i guess her profession makes the producer to put before her some tough questions and numbers, but in all i give kudos to her
I noticed a change in the studio setting. It seems Babela has moved the studio from Akure to Lagos...Real definition of growth!!! E ku ishe takun takun
