The SlingPAK, made by TraumaPAK is an absolutely massive medical bag designed as a mass casualty stop the bleed kit for the worst case scenario.
This review is not sponsored and the kit was donated to ActiVets as a range medical kit after the video

This sure looks like the kind of durable and easy-to-handle pack that I can fill with the supplies I already have. Even though I source my own contents, I've been on the lookout for a good pack for SAR duty. I believe this is the one!! 😎👍

„I‘ve been on a couple mass casualty incidents” Sam, did you ever made a video about that? Would be quite interesting. Especially with the focus how we medical amateurs should treat this.

I love the idea. But for the price I prefer the 5.11 UCR pack and load it myself with the same contents. A few hundred dollars and load it with some colored ribbon i stead of $1000 for similar results.

The 5.11 UCR is a good alternative. I have one for years, but haven't had the chance to use it as much. For just the MCI respons it should be fine, but otherwise I think the usefulness is a bit limited. It's a lot of money, for sure, but if I do the simple math, it really looks reasonable. As a simple guide, I use the following prices: TQ @ 30, QuickCloth @ 40, Chest Seals @ 30, ETD & comprised Gauze @ 15 For a total of 115 a set. If multiplied by 8 it will already cost 920, leaving less then 200 for the backpack and rest of the gear. So, in my opinion $1,110 is a fair price. ps: I know prices and brands are subject to change, this is just a general simple list I use, mainly for comparison.

I am very interested in working more with that BattleWrap pressure dressing. I have only had my hamds on it once, and was wondering your thought(s). Better, same, worse than an izzy or olaes? Also that triage ribbon. Would that be used to cordon off an area for waking wounded/intermediate etc, or, is that to be affixed to patients as you are triaging? Never seen that before.

The rules for giveaways on RU-vid are super weird and shipping medical supplies overseas also gets into the weeds so i usually avoid it.
@PrepMedic
@PrepMedic 20 дней назад
I do a lot of in-person giveaways to local groups and organizations that I believe are doing important work and need better medical supplies. I don’t share it on social media a bunch though.

@@PrepMedic gotcha I’m not familiar with RU-vid rules so that makes since I see everyone doing the car giveaways and tool giveaways always and thought I’d ask. And the in person giveaways that’s awesome should definitely video it and put in either in a normal video or a video of itself and see if it’s a boost on here, really awesome and your channel and super helpful it helped me pick everything I carry and how it’s setup for easy access while working. I’m a just a volunteer fire fighter but have my emt certification because of you actually! In 2019 was in a bad accident in a semi and I retired after that and I’m only 32 now so I try to give back to my community and with doing the fire service as well and we travel a ton mainly from Nc to fl but go out west some! So having medical equipment is part of my everyday life because you know what you will come up on or happen too yourself or family so thank you for what you do spread knowledge and for your own community and others your in teaching others to do the same. And sorry for the long comment I know your busy and probably don’t have time to read it all 🤣

It's almost 1300 for the lowest level "Bystander" bag for anyone who's interested but doesn't want to visit the website. Just for the empty bag it is $350. For some Nylon which was likely mostly made in China
@PrepMedic
@PrepMedic 20 дней назад
Just for reference a CAT TQ retails for ~$30, each of those quickclot are ~$45 and the hyfin chest seals are ~$11/piece. Not to mention all the other supplies included and the litter. I’m not saying $1,100 isn’t expensive but those that think it is price gouging haven’t priced out a medical bag before. The NAR 4 aid bag is $400 and the Tasmanian tiger bags are in the same price point for empty nylon as well.
