It's very sad seeing young Ukrainians being draged onto vans to go and die. Zelenskiy was not a politician else this war couldn't have happened. Europeans are now short of cheap natural resources from Africa because of Chinese take over in Accra so they were looking for cheaper resources from Europe so they wanted to use Ukraine to disintegrate Russia so they can get asses to both Ukrainian and Russias natural resources. Now Ukraines natural resources including rich lands are now in the hands of the west through so called loans and aids provided to Ukraine. Very sad.

Zelensky didn't try to prevent the conflict through diplomacy because he lacks honor and integrity. In 2014 there was a coup. Soon after, there was a massacre in Odessa (dozens of people were burned alive). Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed. A civil war broke out due to the rise in ethnic tensions. For 8 years the Ukrainian military was indiscriminately shelling civilians living in Donbas. If Zelensky honored the Minsk agreement and pledged neutrality, none of this would have happened. The 8 year civil war would have ended and Donbas would have remained part of Ukraine. War is the ultimate failure of diplomacy. Zelensky, Poroshenko, Merkel and Hollande admitted that Ukraine had no intention to honor the Minsk agreements. Who didn't want peace? Who advised against the 2022 peace talks in April? Hint: someone visited Zelensky in Kiev at that time. Russia's national security was compromised once NATO began to expand eastwards. Russia clearly stated that Ukraine joining NATO was a red line (November 2021) and unfortunately this concern was never taken seriously. The Russians openly stated: if nothing changes, we will be forced to act in order to defend our national security. Enhancing the national security of one country at the expense of another is unacceptable. The Russians have legitimate security concerns. 20th September, 2021: Ukraine launched military drills with US and NATO. NATO is not a defensive alliance. NATO illegally bombed Yugoslavia (a direct violation of the U.N. Charter). We should never forget what they did to Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq etc. Who blew up the pipeline causing an environmental disaster? Zelensky banned all opposition and arrested a leading priest. There is evidence that Ukrainian troops have been indiscriminately shelling civilians in Donbas (they used petal mines and targeted areas where there was no military presence). The azov troops trapped in the azovstal steelworks in Mariupol used human shields. They refused to allow civilians to leave despite of humanitarian corridors being present. Russia held a proposed cease fire in order for the civilians to leave, but azov would not allow the civilians to leave. Ukraine has committed many acts of terrorism (car bombs and other forms of assassination). Darya Dugina (journalist) R.I.P. The first terrorist attack on the Kerch bridge killed the truck driver and the individuals in the adjacent car (innocent civilian victims). The second terrorist attack on the Kerch bridge killed two parents and severely injured their young daughter. I have done a lot of research and it took me a long time to write this comment. I have stated a lot of facts and I have given my honest opinion. I have provided a brief summary of events that took place. In order to explain this whole situation in great detail, a book would need to be written. Hopefully someone will write an UNBIASED book, stating facts and allowing the readers to form their own judgments. Everything I said can be fact checked and verified.

probably not so much intelligence, but they are getting the creeping sensation that fighting Russia is a very stupid way to die and that in fact if Russia wins they might be better off. At the same time it's contagious.. as more and more take the decisive step, it encourages others who were afraid. I mean no secret that desertion is a very dangerous undertaking, but if something is making it easier and easier, it may gain exponential momentum, and then the whole thing can be over outside of anybody's timeline, even Russia's, quite unexpectedly.

If I was conscripted at my age/over 60 I sure as hell would try to get out. It’s hard enough to get out of bed and go to work. The average age of ukrain soldiers is over 55. And I was in the military when I was 21. It’s a tough job.

The average military training is now 3 to 6 weeks for the newly recruitment. F-16 pilots 3 mths.. surrender to Russians is difficult, although locals are providing help, food, clothes and shelter and help the to reach the Russians armed forces. If you are KIA, Ukraine most likely label you as MIA to avoid compensation for the famlily of the fallen. Desertion/retreating is punishable by the military court, usually by death. The exchanges of POWs is not working well. Someone in Ukraine shot down a transport plane with 96 Ukrainian POWs on their way on an agreed POW exchange. Was that a disinventive for surroundering or just a friendly-fire mistake? Could someone wiser and more connected, look into that well-known incident? 😮

Kursk was a huge gamble and the pay-off was the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant, but you can't tell the press that without appearing a little too terrorist like. I saw a Telegram clip taken by a AFU soldier. They were hiding in a bunker and the only sound was drones buzzing overhead. The buzzing sound would fade and then another drone would come and start it all over again. The AFU soldiers couldn't do anything but sit there and wait to be killed.

You're the first commentator to touch on the point that the stated goals are not the actual goals of the incursion. This incursion was likely more about securing aid and rallying support at time when fears of a Ukrainian defeat were setting in in the west. It was only 4 days into the incursion, and after a few speeches from an feigned position of strength that Zelensky demanded another 50 billion.

I have been laughing almost continuously for the first 7 minutes of this. This laughter is just a natural response to Sebastian's style and the passion in his delivery but this is really no laughing matter: these are people's lives we are dealing with here. I do not judge a single one of those Ukrainian deserters as - if they are smart enough to know which direction to point the gun - they are smart enough to know that they are not fighting Russia on behalf of their own country but on behalf of America which started this sick geopolitical adventure for the express purpose of 'buying' Russian deaths by 'spending' Ukrainian lives. As far as the Washington neocon think tanks and the hawks in the Pentagon are concerned, what they have in Ukraine in emotive impact terms is an international equivalent to Black-on-Black crime in their cities in the sense that they can just see it as one lot of their soviet enemies killing another. The deaths of these 'soviets' impact the collective American psyche even less than that of its urban Black citizens. In that sense, the likes of Lindsay Graham feel they have hit the mother lode with this Slavic civil war. A further consideration in not judging these deserting soldiers and not laughing is the fact that large numbers of them are victims of an act of greater violence than an African captured and transport across the world to the Americas to live as a slave. The operative word here is LIVE, because while the kidnapping of men on Ukrainian streets is qualitatively no different to the capture of said African, HE (if he survived the voyage) could reasonably expect to live out his three-score and ten years whereas THEY are sent to a location where there is a very high probability of being killed or maimed within hours of getting there. What we see on all those videos of desperate guys being pummelled by the recruitment teams and thrown into vans is therefore something even more morally abhorrent than the Atlantic Slave Trade. The fact that there is not even a conversation about this in the West just shows haw far we have fallen.

What is also contributing and telling, and what does not get nearly enough attention, is that if people surrender, it means, that their enemy is humanistic enough to the point where surrendering is an option. Yet, russians are taking prisoners, giving those who surrendered medical aid for their injuries, water, food supply at least enough for them to remain operational until they are exchanged and returned back to Ukraine, etc. But not a single western MSM will ever speak on that, because that would be humanizing your enemy, and that's not the "correct message".
