Also the engineer is the only class that changes story a little bit. It skips one decision during Omega dlc, that gives you the perfect outcome unattainable for other classes.
Its never stated ingame, but incinerate in me2 actually does its full base damage against barriers. Not as good as warp of course, but at full level it is pretty good against your base collector units, even on insanity.
Fuck man, Horizon was already hell, you mean the pain never stops? I’ve always dreaded the Reaper IFF mission on my playthroughs (mostly a lot of ME2 and now it’s my second marathon, insanity this time. Wanted to play as my fave, too.), but the Collector Ship is on the same level as the IFF?!
My favorite class in all games tbh... love my engineers. I only wish the Mass Effect engineer started with a shotgun speciality. I mean Tali gets it... why not Shepard?
“Hey look buddy, I'm an engineer. That means I solve problems, not problems like "What is beauty?" Because that would fall within the purview of your conundrums of philosophy. I solve practical problems, for instance: how am I going to stop some mean mother Hubbard from tearing me a structurally superfluous be-hind? The answer, use a gun, and if that don't work... Use more gun. Take for instance this heavy caliber tripod mounted lil' old number designed by me, built by me, and you best hope... Not pointed at you.”- Engineer Shepherd.
Engineer is my favorite class in the entire Mass effect trilogy because you get unique dialogue. For example, the Omega DLC the part where you fix the reactor and the citadel DLC where Brooks says "Wait I heard you're an engineer." I actually did a paragon male shepard engineer and he was a spacer. Engineer is a awesome class.
It’s funny this video came to me through the algorithm. Because of your presidents playing the trilogy on insanity came out. I just beat Therum on insanity for the first time! Great content buddy! Oh yeah I forgot, I’m doing my insanity run as an engineer!!!
My first Mass Effect class though It was actually the last class I did a run on the original Trilogy collection when doing runs as every class. My first two runs on both Mass Effect 1 and 3 were on my best friend's 360 while all of my Mass Effect 3 runs and the Trilogy runs were on my PS3 except my Legendary run which was on my PS4. My first and third Mass Effect 1 standalone runs (The latter was right after the trilogy came out before I decided to do trilogy runs as each class), my first and third Mass Effect 2 stand alone runs (The latter was my first PS3 run) and my first and fourth Mass Effect 3 runs along with the Trilogy run and my Legendary run were all as an Engineer
Never let anyone tell you that Adept is the caster class, for that is straight bullshit. Engineer is the true mage of Mass Effect, able to pick out the weaknesses of any target and exploit them. Since higher skill levels slap every enemy with some kind of protection having a way past it is the most beautiful thing in creation. Enemy has armor: Incinerate Enemy has shields: Overload Enemy has Barrier: The entire Kitchen Sink and no protection at all means your powers are just free eats on everything.
I always was a engineer dude once i played the trilogy for the first time. but i didn't released i didn't had assault rifles. so i play now like Mass Effect 1: Soldier Mass Effect 2: Solider Mass Effect 3: Engineer. (but i pretty heard on legendary mode you can pretty much have all the weapons.)
Hello 👋 so I'm trying to do the engineer class in mass effect 3 but it's my first time using it and I want it to be good. So I'm asking any one who has played engineer class before for advice on best powers, bonus power and weapons for the class please and thank you.
I dont like summoner playstyle, but in ME1 i love engineer. without the dumb shared cooldown mechanic, you can enter a room full of husks, and do a huge aoe burst spell damage with overload damping and sabotage.... killing 20-25 enemies in 2 sec, but its good against small groups aswell. not just total 600 shield dmg and 400hp dmg, but a series of debuffs: stun, silence, damage vulnerability, dot dmg, overheat, and you dont have ammo problems with a decent weapon HMWP
