Playlist: • Mass Effect Story Cuts... Mass Effect Trilogy Best of Urdnot Wrex from Mass Effect 1, Mass Effect 2 to Mass Effect 3. This video also includes most of Wrex best quotes.
That crazy fun, gun loving, headbut hitting, drinks slightly, war inducing, leader of a Krogan is who every wants as an uncle or in the females case *~LOVER~* for any female who wants that but y'know I'd rather the uncle
That ME2 moment: "Shepard! My friend!" is one of my most favourite things in the trilogy. It's touching and it's saying a lot coming from a krogan clan leader too.
Hands down that was one of my favorite moments. The Alliance doesnt trust you. The survivor pick from ME1 doesnt trust you. A lot of people ignore your warnings due to Cerberus (though its a bit understandable). But here comes Wrex who just embraces you and gives no shits about anything his subordinates think. He's the leader and you're a bloodbrother, and anyone who doesnt like it be damned.
Their was one funny moment to forgot: Wrex: I've always wanted to do this! Shepard: You've always wanted to have a fire fight on the CIC of my ship?! Wrex: And it isn't even my birthday!!!
I don't now if it's unique, but there was also a line where Clone-Femshep critisises Femshep's way of talking before sealing her in some sort of locker. The funny bit was how she asks her companions (Wrex and Kaidan in my case) if really she really spoke funny. "I though you all humans were meant to sound like that."
Wrex: I prefer my Salarian liver raw Salarian soldier: *stares to others* Javik: He's correct, it was a delicacy in our cycle Salarian Soldier: *pissed off*
the Normandy's a warship shit I thought it was a freak show it couldn't even take a shot from the collector's the sr2 had to take them out cause the sr1 was to weak for that
One scene I loved that I think you missed: Mass Effect 1: At the Armistice Day protest in the Citadel Wards: Protest leader: "If aliens feel free to express their opinions at gunpoint, why shouldn't we?" Wrex: "Because they have bigger guns"
@@beverlyarcher3744He is as the Younger generations call, A Rizzler, he should get an Owl with a note for Hogwarts, because he's a Rizzard, No other Krogans got the rizz to have every female outside his door, He's the most interesting Krogan in the Universe.
Wrex was a lot funnier in ME1 than I remember. I ought to bring him out more often. One scene that always makes my eyes well up is when Wrex gets off his throne to personally welcome you. Like an old friend whos' got a million stories that they wished you were there for.
Yeah, He is just straight up happy to see you alive and does not care about what else you may have been up to, no drama or angst, just a pure honest excitement that you are there.
when all three of these games came out and the DLC it made alot of us enjoy the conversations that flowed so well. and they where hilarious. not taking into consideration combat or system replacements in these games etc. just the pure flow of conversation and chemistry of your team and everyone they interacted with. andromeda does a okey job..... but it doesn't deliver this chemistry between people. the only people that i think that give a compeling conversation is liam, jall and drack. but not to a certain degree that these games did in the past. how has bioware come to games like andromeda and anthem. its fucking sad to see as future games we just know will not meet expectations nor will we see continuations of these great dialogue pieces
you guy's can see the development of wrex from being a loner and grumpy, developing to a friendly grumpy unlce wrex that we all love, best character development in a freaking trilogy. living a harsh life as krogan, almost killed by his own father, angry about anything , never trusted that much people but him being with shepard he gained a awesome people that he could proudly call Friends
and Tali went from unsure pilgrimage upstart to Admiral and champion of her people. I think all of the non-human squadmates from ME1 (Garrus, Wrex, Liara, & Tali) went through significant character development throughout the series; they grew from relative obscurity into legend
OmenRider it's funny that every human companion in ME games is kinda meh. Most interesting for me were zaeed and kasumi and they were DLC CHARACTERS! Although I do appreciate that Kaidan in ME3 is almost likable unlike ME1. Can't say the same bout Ashley.

Shepard: "You Krogan live for centuries. Don't tell me you haven't had a few interesting adventures." Wrex: "Well, there was this one time the turians almost wiped out our entire race. That was fun." Damn, I love Wrex.
nobody here talking about how fucking perfect the citadel dlc was. I've never seen writers have so much fun with their characters, no other proof of their passion towards the franchise needed than every single damn line in that expansion.
@@williamkerfoot8039 i can understand if its not your cup of tea, but for me it was hilarious , when you chase the clone, the interactions with blimp is peak comedy
Shephard: "Considering everything we've been through, I can think of worse positions to be in" Wrex: "Trust me, I've been in every position in the past few days" Me: Dying from fits of laughter
The frog and grasshopper formula is not only charming it's also quite strong in the tougher missions. Grunt and Garrus cuts through collectors like butter.
my first playthrough wrex lived, my second, as a result of picking just about every renegade choice i could within reason, wrex got killed. hell, i almost blew away ashley in that character, praise be to a high reputation check. i did talk mordin down from curing the genophage, because i REALLY dont trust wrex' successor not going ape-shit on the galaxy as soon as the reapers are on the back foot. i guess, the best way to chalk up the second character, was a cold and calculated hardass. that character didnt trust that Wrex would let the mission be finished properly, so removed the threat to the mission. though, to be clear, that character is not at all me, my first character is much closer. though a fair bit more trigger-happy than me
Wrex: Let's kill the Council and take over the galaxy! Javik: Agreed, but do keep the "politics" off my armor. Shepard: Oh for the love of... Garrus: I call next.
Hahaha. Oke my honest opinion about MEA is that i really liked playing MEA(lol i invested more than 100 hours). But there was something missing. I think it was missing the mass effect feel.
@@jaguar550 so it wasn't just me also I gotta say this hell yeah I thank you very much for replying is not often some one replies to comments like this
@@prosyndication21 It was actually the game that first got me invested in the whole series. I'd never played any of them since I only ever had Nintendo consoles growing up. I've come to like it just as much as the trilogy because I discover references that I didn't understand the first time through, like Dr. Okeer's research or Liam talking about how he met Garrus.
@@XboxpartizanHD holy shit that's actually a good point. Besides Wrex being an older, War-tested, and maybe jaded Krogan, Wrex needs to be the one to bring the Krogran out of the dark age (post-genophage). A relationship would probably weaken his already interesting Character development, he's perfect how he is.
I would say Anderson is the Coach. He was the one who put Shepard's name forward for the specter candidate. Shepard is defiantly the QB but I'll agree with the DE part. Shepard is just happy that he is on his team lmao
I don't get how anyone could kill Wrex. He's one of the best written characters in the trilogy. Unlike some characters, Wrex will tell you exactly what he's thinking. He's the most honest character in the whole trilogy, and compared to his brother Wreave, Wrex is a gentle giant. Wrex is also the only character who's more badass than Garrus. With Wrex's durability, medium to close range combat skills, with biotic abilities. He's the ultimate tank, even more so than Grunt. Combine Wrex's abilities, with Garrus' and their the perfect teammates to bring into battle.
@@sammoore5864 I saved Wrex in ME1 playthough then played ME2 without importing my character I pass that, then import my character from ME2 and I thought it was amazing seeing my actions crossing over into the second game.
Would of been even more funny if Wrex and Liara where ridding in the same car in the back seat when he says "don't hang around too long or pretty soon you'll wind up making friends with a Asari. You hear a thud in the background and its Liara headbutting Wrex.
One of Mass Effects greatest moments is single handedly at 10:00 when Shepard meets Wrex again and he eagerly says: "Shepard, my friend!". That one always hits me in the feels, theres some real emotion in the delivery of that line, what a character.
Shepard: Considering everything we’ve been through, I can think of worse positions to be in. Wrex: Trust me, I’ve been in *every* position in the past few days. Me: 😐... Ew.
"What? Commander Shepard is my superior officer. I can't imagine us having to fight!" One game later ends up arguing with Shepard over Cerberus. Two games later ends up pointing his weapon at Shepard over Cerberus. Three games later is 600 years in the grave while some Krogan named Drack pretends to be the Kool Aid man.
Years and years ago, when I played the first game, I would do the Shepherd Wrex Shepherd Wrex Exchange regularly. No idea why. It made me feel validated that it was recreated here.
"You know what this is? It's a man emergency! Take this kid out back and make him do target practice!" My favorite Wrex line in the entire trilogy. I crack up every single time and I've replayed this trilogy more times than I can count. Easily my favorite ME character and it's not even close.
I know this video's about Wrex, but I love Grunt's lines so much. "Don't listen to this fossil. The only thing he could defeat is a glass of warm milk." *chef's kiss*
17:22 The angry look on that Salarians face ha ha ha. I would be a bit nervous around two aliens that eat your people's liver for lunch. I wonder if they like it with some flava beans and a nice chianti?
That part in ME2 when Wrex sees Shepherd and pushes past the other Krogan to go to him, and the happiness you hear in his voice when he says "Shepherd! My friend!" Is just so heartwarming.
You had a goddamn choice in the last quote of this video, and instead of the heartwarming quote about his son mordin, you went with “that Turian food gave me the runs” 😂
Funny thing is I kinda forgot he had biotics after the second game, and so on the airdrop scene I was surprised whenever he flung those Salarians. Man I love Wrex
It was kind of understated in the first game, especially since most of Wrex' abilities are more passive than flashy, and he never really had any scenes using them. If someone only watched the scenes, or used him infrequently, it's relatively easy to miss.
Wrex is easily one of the most likable and most believable and well developed companions in any video game ever made. Change my mind (no really, I could use suggestions on what to play next)
when Wrex says "I want you to try" with that chuckle at the start, I was sold. Instant favorite character, and has been in ME2 and ME3. And I dont trust anyone willing to shoot him in ME1 or betray him in ME3. Just no. Wrex is a bro for life.
Wrex: so what's this game all about? Shepard: oh this game *points to doom on the tv screen*? Wrex: yes, what's it about? Shepard: well, you get to kill a bunch of stuff... Wrex: AND? Shepard: and use a chainsaw... Wrex: AND? Shepard: use your bare fists to beat up demons... Wrex: AND? Shepard: and use big fudging guns... Wrex: now your speaking my language! How about I play for a bit?
That silence at 9:10 was so beautifully done. So necessary. That beat of silence and intense stare was the most impactful part of that whole argument, and I wish I could see more of that in other media instead of everything having to constantly be full of dialogue and exaggerated expressions.
I love the fact that the first pieces of dialogue with Wrex in Mass Effect 1 are rude and Wrex almost seen like a douchebag who doesn't like you... but first time you see him in Mass Effect 2 he's saying "Shepaaard, my friend!" with all happiness. Real friendship progression. Put a smile on my face everytime.
I thought he'd be the last character I'll use as a companion in this game. Quickly became my favourite. It was so easy to not get forced into 100% paragon decisions by everyone else and the tone of the game, by just having him around.
26:07 the best part, especially when Wrex said "That's why I love hanging out with you guys! Why shoot something once when you can shoot it 46 more times?" 🎉
