It's a very small subsection of fallout fans that dislike the Fallout tv series. Overall everyone I've talked to on various web forums, in games, and IRL has said that the show's leaning towards a 9 and no lower than an 8. Ubisoft could burn to the ground and it would be a benefit to society.

A single player game does not need to be online only, that's pure live service greed.

The day companies start mass killing old games on steam/epic/etc is the day that gaming takes a few years being dead.

I can only think of two developers that deserve a tip for their games: Team Cherry for Hollow Knight, and Fromsoft for Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Sekiro, Elden Ring and Armored Core.

Usually on point with videos, but I disagree with the breakdown of Fallout. It's clearly based on Fallout 3/4 - and that's what most people who have watched this series have played. The original Fallout 'war' has been going on for decades at this point. The storyline of Fallout 1, 2 and NV are unfortunately not really well remembered by the majority of people who watched the series, I can bet money on that. I think people need to separate anything previous to 3 and 4 - as Bethesda have never followed that universes lore hugely accurately. There are forums dedicated to this since 3 existed, so it was expected the series would probably just stir this up again.

The good thing about having French as my first language is that we have masculine and feminine variants for a lot of verbs and adjectives. No ambiguity, we know instantly who is male and who is female, we don't have the magic words they/them. Woke pos are probably gritting their teeths right now. One thing that's annoying in game with self-inserts localized in English is the use of they/them whenever they talk about the player, even though our character, both visually and through his speech, actions and story, is 1000% a man. Imagine changing text (even voice lines) to make sure you don't offend that 0.00001% of people who may or may not even play your game

Stellar Blade right now is carrying a lot of weight, and not just because of the game itself. It's because of what it represents. These guys put passion into their product, and it's such a callback to how the industry used to be, and such a stark contrast to what we have today, that I think a lot of things are riding on this game's release, perception, and success. It'll send a HUGE message to western companies when they compare how much money they're losing to how much money Stellar Blade is poised to make. What I esspecially take pleasure in is that the more people cry about Stellar Blade the more attention they draw to it, and ironically the more successful it becomes.

I turned off the fallout show during the first episode and never went back. Also fallout new vegas was the best one, there is no possible argument against it.

It makes no sense for Vault Tec to just wait and hope nuclear war happens and telling their investors they plan to do start the war encourages them to buy as many vaults as they can. If you want to see a post apocalyptic world that wasn't started through nuclear war then watch something other than Fallout.

Ubisoft should replace the $60 buy button with a $60 lease button otherwise we are just being misled with ownership

Dude literally because of this program all the games including new vegas and surprisingly 76 had the largest increase in players in their history this video aged horribly and only passed a month

Game preservation is important and I think many of us are realizing that it has to be done by the players. To anyone reading this- preserve your games! if you're unsure how, learn like i have. There's a good chance there are others who are taking steps to preserve the same game.

I just finished the entire first season of Fallout. I’ll admit, it’s not good, garbage “find my dad plot”, and the entirety of Fallout New Vegas, and some established lore from Fallout 1/2 was completely retconned. The only thing I’ll give props to was the weapon design, little Easter eggs, costumes, all was game accurate. I will not watch a second season, and if you haven’t seen it don’t..

Only thing I can say for the crew players is pirate every ubisoft game you want to play going forward. If purchasing doesn't mean owning the license to play, then piracy doesn't mean theft

If Ubisoft considers normal for us not owning the games they should stop asking us to buy them. Because technically it is not a purchase anymore, it is rent. Yet something tells me they do not have the balls to be honest about it.

I can recall thinking this back during the XBone original announcement. They expected us to download games rather than buy them. They didn't want to allow games to be passed on as physical media because they felt that they would miss out on money. Since then we have seen this whole business again on more than one situation, probably the biggest example was Stadia. That's one reason why so many players are playing their back catalogue - they have a physical media copy and they don't need to worry about woke.

It never amazes me how sad these people are.... They know people do not want their women to look like men, and they also know women with curves and Lady parts actually exist as does VERY beautiful women (stellar blade is proof of that) but they continue to do this thinking that people are going to somehow change their minds about it....they won't, they will lose money and support even trying.

I was happy with the storyline about Vault-Tec discussing dropping the bomb as it was ambiguous. The concerns about season 2 are more worrying but maybe they are genuinely picking the most loved game-world components rather than going on a conscious wrecking spree. I enjoyed the series but agree it was not fantstic, but still full of nods to the fanbase.

The fallout show is great. You can tell a lot of love was put into it. I dont really get why people are hating on it. Sure, there are some issues, but the good definitely outweighs the bad. Easily the best video game adaptation ever made that I've seen. Even though most have been bad, this one isn't one of them.

Well, it is sad, the New Vegas retcon but frankly doesn't mean much to me. I was done with Bethesda after seeing Fallout 76. I, as a customer can quit buying their games and spend my money elsewhere. There are decades long backlog of astonishing classics out there. Todd can go play chess with his club mates, I think I will buy a game that deserves it.

I will never purchase anything from Ubisoft ever again. There is no fixing this. Even if they apologize, pledge to support all game they ever publish to the end of time, and sell them all at a 90% discount. At this point, the bridge is burnt and the trust is gone. I consider a dollar spent on a ubisoft game, a dollar burnt.

I'm not a fallout fan, but I'm very skeptical about Rotten Tomatoes rating for that show.

Regarding the retcon, it most likely wasn't a retcon. In a Dlc that, based on dialogue, would take place after FNV; you can send a nuke against either the NCR(shady sands) or Caesars legion. The show never outright said that the dad shot the nuke but instead said she did it? Sounds like they are trying to make this event questionable just like who dropped the original bombs. Bethesda loves reusing plot points.

Yeah, you're reading this all wrong.. They didn't retcon new vegas out of existence. according to an interview with the show runners, the town was nuked shortly after the events of new vegas. There was just no date on the board for when that happened. The fall of a place, and it's destruction are not the same thing. Lore-wise, the whole thing is kinda messy, but not universe-breaking. Also, i'm not seeing a mass-exodus, or big hate from the fanbase over the show. Near as i can tell, most fans of fallout love the show. The way in which Bethesda acquired the Fallout IP was nothing like how Disney bought Star Wars... Disney made George Lucas an offer, and acquired Lucasfilm, outright... Interplay (previous owners of the Fallout IP) deliberately offered to sell the Fallout IP to Bethesda, because they were having financial issues, and needed the money. It's worth noting that Obsidian was comprised of former Black Isle employees, who worked on Fallout 2...so it's no wonder they were able to make New Vegas so good...they were part of the team that worked on the original lore for that region of the world.

Stop buying Ubisof games. Problem solved. When they see their bank accounts getting empty they will be begging players to get their games. Meanwhile there are tons of good games out there to play. Even for free!

Capcom will regret this…these are our games made by our money.

If this is the case, I encourage everyone to NEVER buy an Ubisoft ever again. Because removing your game in which you paid money for is stealing. I hope Ubisoft goes under for this, nothing of value would be lost.

New Vegas was confirmed to still be canon by a tweet. Please people take what these guys say with a grain of salt. America didn't drop the bomb with Vault Tech. VAULT tech dropped the bomb themselves as an independent.

That's not right that they did that to the crew, no game company should be able to do that it needs to be outlawed, and they need to not just let people keep being able to play the game they bought but now that they have done this to they should have to pay anyone who bought it for the trouble and attempted theft.

This is why I hate the idea of paying upfront for online games. It's one thing to charge for subscription use, but to charge a huge chunk up front and then to have no access to the product you bought is criminal.

Fallout New Vegas had a ton of fallout 3 programmers, and they used 3's engine... obviously. There are lore entries within the series that allude to Vault-Tec being the ones to do the nuking. Bad idea for world domination.... yeah the power hungry white collars really care about that... they only care about themselves, and the show takes place a decade after fallout 4.

The only thing that saved Season 1 is that they didn't shove the anti-capitalism down our throats until the second half. I don't have a lot of faith for Season 2

SNK is one of the Japanese Company that is still intact from my knowledge, they didn't bend the knee and let's hope it stay that way. Regardless, I'm playing my part with my series called Anti-Woke Video Game where I list any games whether its new or old and recommend them to the viewers.

You should read the Fallout bible. It leaves it open as to who and why the first nukes are dropped. Everyone assumes the Chinese, but that isn't the only possibility (the original creators wanted to leave things open to fan fiction). Also, towards the end of the USA as we know it there were a lot of civil problems. Riots over food shortages and the ongoing war prompted a harsh crackdown by the military, even using the latest power armor to suppress rioters. Considering the USA was on the brink of collapse even if the Chinese were beaten, I could see some corporate assholes thinking that nukes could be an easy restart button. This is also set a fair bit past New Vegas, there are a lot of things that could have brought down the NCR.

Yeah, this show absolutely F’ing sucks and seeing so many shills for it is disgusting. And honestly I’d still take 4 over this garbage any day.

Now we know why the director said that it's pointless to try and please the fans. He KNEW that Todd Howard will make him change the established lore, so he threw that out there like "Don't expect the show to follow the established lore to a tee".

Tbh, The Fallout show is decent enough to get season 2 & it has the spirit of the series correctly, so far. Certainly better than Halo TV series (total abomination). As for the lore, the games already retconned its own lore since Fallout 3, like basically deprived og Fallout crpgs, so I personally don't see this much as a big problem, especially when it's more of a timeline stuffs that most likely being condensed to line up with each season.

This thing happening with "The Crew" happened with "Modern Warfare 2019". I wanted to replay its campaign to platinum the game but I can't. I've downloaded the campaign and Special Ops packs but I can't play either of them because no. I purchased a new disk , thinking my disk was faulty or glitched, but even that didn't work. I've searched on reddit and other places and there is no fix for this. I HAVE THE GAME DISK. I WANT TO PLAY THE OFFLINE CAMPAIGN BUT I CAN'T. WTF.

About tipping in gaming. I've seen a couple of games on Steam that kinda have this option through DLC that specifically states it gives literally nothing in the game (or very little like some ridiculous skin). There are plenty of games with such DLCs on Steam (including recent DRG: Survivor) and technically we may include variations like artbooks and soundtracks to the list. They are essentially supporter packs you buy to tip the dev studio behind the game. Honestly, when the soundtrack is great, you are likely to find it somewhere for free anyway, like literally right here on RU-vid, for example. So, the idea of tipping games is an itsy bitsy too late since we already had it for years. And of course, we are tipping publishers in all these cases. It's a good thing when it's the same studio and they just self-published, but that's not always the case.

The capcom Localization news broke my heart and shred it into pieces. Yes I saw the knee was being bent for some time especially with Jill's personality lobotomy in resi 3 remake and the outfit change (I mean c'mon what's nore bad ass than a woman killing zombies in a miniskirt and tube top plus skinny jeans were NOT a thing in '98), but actually hearing it is brutal. Capcom games have always been there for me and Street Fighter was the very first game I ever played at an ARCADE, at the young age of maybe 5/6? Ugh, I'm hating all this crap and losing the little hope I had for every entertainment company of any kind. Plus, why would I want Japan to give me "western ideals"? I want Japanese culture and point of view to come through, it's anime back in the '80 that made me fall in love with Japan and make myself cultured to it.

What makes it worst for Capcom is that they tried to cowtow to America before with their more "Americanized" games in the late 2000s to early 2010s and it did not go well for them. Why on earth would they do it again with this tactic? Has Capcom not learned anything?
