But hey….At least we’re in it together. Collective madness tends to happen in cycles. This is obviously a deep topic with many layers that could easily go on for hours, but I tried my best to condense it under 20 minutes. If you like this type of content, leave a comment for the algorithm and give a like and share it around. Let me know what topics you would like us to delve deeper into next time. Much love

i feel like misplaced anger within individuals acts as a catalyst for dangerous collective groupthink. i think the anger originally occurs for a valid reason, like if someone was abused by their parents, but they were unable to express their anger at the time, which caused them to keep their anger inside. they say internalized anger causes depression, and when the anger is externalized, it sometimes occurs as a random outburst of anger directed at someone who doesnt deserve it. but the other place suppressed anger can go is into groupthink, where the group finds an enemy to blame and unleashes their hate onto them. the whole time this is happening, its always being done under the guise of virtue. it reminds me of the alan watts lecture i listened to where he emphasized that we should beware of virtue

Hi Tom!! Just discovered your channel and WOW! Thank you SO much for putting your thoughts into videos that I can play in the background and listen to, and feel a little more okay in life. I see these things, and wonder why it isn’t talked about more. But then you mentioned how someone that’s perfectly balanced will be seen to the majority of the world as boring, and it makes perfect sense. I’m excited to watch the rest of this video, and dive into more of your content. I watched your advice you gave, around what you wished you would have known leading up to turning 30 and I feel like I’m just behind what you were talking about in that video. I need to go back and comment on that one too but I just wanted to say thanks so much for sharing your insights, and making the world feel a little less confusing and lonely for people like me who are having a hard time grasping this reality and what’s happening. You’re beautiful! I’m so happy your video popped up in my search! Have a great rest of your day!

even though i completly see where youre coming from, i have to disagree. fear is more of an ego thing wich tells you that youre running out of time. and time will always be more important than money wich is why you get your time taken away in jail since you couldnt play by the obviously corrupt rules. if youre not where you want to be becouse you dont see the work that gets you to your best self as worthy through outside experiences and just how the world is, then it is a natural fight of mindsets that reveal the best in yourself wich is beyond this world. one thing i learned as a man is that feelings always come from a real place inside us. what we dont see doesnt exist but realistically speaking, the older you get the more strict society becomes becouse of expectations, when youre below someones expectations youre looked at someone who is helpless and less and when you show your potential by speaking your truth it plays with their ego just becouse of personal traumas and challenges kept you from getting to your true self that they cant even begin to understand. in other words. fear is always real. you just have to be accepting of the fact that there isnt alot of ways that can make you reach your best self anymore becouse these systems and society failed us at the end of the day.

I care about myself, my family and my friends, I try and help them and help myself. I can't personally help to end hunger, disease, wars, etc. so the news and social media just make you feel doomed. True, what we feel is something we take way less serious than what we think even if in the end our feelings will always be the deciding factor especially if we are trying to deny that. That’s maybe the reason why we end up running in circles so much. The sad thing is we really lost the ability to consciously feel and that’s why our feelings become our own predators hiding in the subconscious.

This is a really strange and incomplete representation of why the witch hunts happened. I'm a bit disappointed with the amount of research that has gone into this video. You touch on a lot of rather huge topics and draw simple conclusions from them. If we were to talk about world war 2 for an example there's a lot more than just unrest that lead to the rise of fascism. Historical context is always relevant when we want to draw conclusions from historical events. It cannot be understated how important ideology is when we talk about world war 2. It's also incredibly important to understand it's relationship to world war 1 and the Treaty of Versailles. Imperialism, nationalism, capitalism and the fear of communism. These are all key in understanding the development of world war 2. If you want to understand history you need to see the development over time. Look I get your overall worry here, it isn't exactly unreasonable to think that we are heading toward a breaking point in history. I would advice you not to draw big conclusions from historical events without taking the time to study it properly. These conclusions are really hard to draw especially if we're talking about now or into the future. Saying that it's mass hysteria is kind of an unhelpful and frankly radical way to phrase the complicated challenges we face in society today. Every now and then you draw a conclusion that is correct but you end up missing the bigger picture entirely. An example being when you talk about modern division strategies. It's a very real strategy that is being used politically today, but why and by whom? There's state funded studies on polarization all over the world. It's mostly influence from foreign intelligence agencies, and as they state themselves they seek to inflate what is already there. You go into a lot of complicated fields in this video to build this argument. I don't expect you to list every detail of everything you mention. Every limb added is however muddied by loaded words and misused technical terms. It's like the limbs aren't added for support but simply to finish the thought and narrative you had to begin with. Isn't this kind of ironic towards the points you touch on in the video? Though as an artistic expression it's quite impressive if you see it that way I suppose. Scathing criticism aside, if you read this I hope you have a good day regardless. As someone who has had to study a lot one thing I always try to keep in mind is the perception of how much we know. There's even the saying in psychedelics for this. Be careful with unearned knowledge. Buddhism is such a great practical and helpful philosophy because there's a focus on understanding through practice. The pursuit of knowledge leads to more questions than answers. I still think there's value in exploring these thoughts and narratives at the end of the day.
@yourmatetom
@yourmatetom 3 месяца назад
I get what you’re saying but I think you may be overcomplicating the matter. Human problems are timeless. History may not necessarily repeat but it certainly rhymes. Plus it’s difficult to get into all the nitty details in a 16 min video lol Much love and thanks for sharing 🙏
@Curiomerc
@Curiomerc 3 месяца назад
@@yourmatetom I appreciate you taking the time to respond Tom. My deduction when it comes to history is that it's more of a complicated development over time. When we start bringing really technical stuff into our argument we have to a be a little more careful with the information we're presenting. As a scholar this has been hammered into me for being good practice. If you want to tackle the more timeless stuff and just focus on the human experience you will find more of what you're looking for in literary and art history. I personally found it a lot more interesting after having studied history but it may appeal more to the thoughts you already have on it. I would love to recommend you good broad reading material on it but I studied it in my native language. If you're interested I can look into it and see if I can find something that measures up to the textbooks I studied on it. You still need some historical context but any good book will give you just enough to empathize and understand the themes and topics that are presented. For the topics that you are trying to explore in the video modernism would be a really interesting angle to tackle it with as an example. Trends in literary history reflect the experience of the people living in that time. If you decide to make more of these videos I couldn't recommend it more.

yep . . . absolutely am amazed everyday by how easily people DONN any mindset or identification that comes their way. they'll even PAY MONEY to wear a hat that is poison they were sold, the intention of which was only ever to bring about their doom. it's ridiculous, & 'clogs' things up societally . . . so i would say the gold to draw from this is to process thru & DROP that identification.

I think some of this video is not correct. I dont repress my shadow. I recognize it as limiting and then trancend it. Maybe this video is a projection of my shadow but i disagree with most things. I feel like this is just a justification for hate for some reason. The world is pretty crazy these days but all we can do is love. Were not monkeys anymore. Ive been seeing so many videos about comparing humans to monkeys. Did monkeys perform miracles and defeat death? No. We have the capability of going beyond our shadow and having an alchemical process of love. I also dont understand why some of your viewers dont like psychedelics when they have done so many good things. I never done them but from what I hear, they add up to rhe experience i have of unity and understanding. Then again what do I know. This is just a stream of consciousness There are many ways to get clarity. Overall epic video, maybe i just didnt get the point fully. I do wish to have some change in the world so we can communicate better I have a vision of people communicating and sharing ideas in a clear and concise manner. Divided we fall. In union we grow. I dont want to seek mean im sad now because i feel like i sounded too mean. I love everyone

Roosh Valizadeh, "After a long period in society of women having unlimited personal freedom to pursue life as they wish, they have shown to consistently fail in making the right decisions that prevent their own harm and the harm of others. Systems must now be put in place where a woman’s behaviour is monitored and her decisions subject to approval of a male relative or guardian who understands what’s in her best interests better than she does herself."

Roosh is the epitome of a man baby who’s parents let him sit at the table and talk, instead of curtailing that until he actually learned to speak. 😂

Stop needing authority and titles to validify things. Anyone can say anything. Doesn't make them right or wrong. A doctor can give as much stupid advice as anyone else.
