What about the method of fragmentation of alkane hydrocarbon chain like compounds ? Are those detectable by Mass spectrometry?

Sir at almost 14:05 and 14:46 you put a sign like half bracket for cationic radical .. I have a confusion in Alkene and Aromatic you put double and triple bond respectively .. Even though cationic radical was also mentioned there. So I think when cationic radical is mentioned there will be less bond .. Am I right ???
