Massachusetts cracks down on air pollution in vulnerable communities

Massachusetts has strengthened regulations on permits for power plants and other industrial operations to help combat air pollution in low-income and majority Black and Latino communities. The new rules take into account the cumulative pollution from all sources in an area, instead of on a company by company basis. Ahead of Earth Day, the Commissioner of Massachusetts' Department of Environmental Protection Bonnie Heiple joined Craig LeMoult to talk about the new rule and other climate initiatives.

What about wood burning heat used in homes? Will anything ever be done to stop that? Over time more and more of it as more homes put in woodstoves and wood pellet stoves.
