She was my instructor, and you won’t believe the amount of knowledge this woman has! She’s an excellent teacher and person ! Love you Maria ! Amazing video as per usual !
Hey Crystal, that's not at all unusual! Any massage therapist with training in prenatal massage is likely to have some ideas of how to work around breast tenderness issues. My solution would be to put my breast bolster on the table (has cutouts that take pressure off the chest) with a towel on top to handle any leakage. You could bring a big fluffy towel from home if you didn't want to leave it up to chance. No big deal! Other solutions might be to have you lie on your side for the back massage, or even using a massage chair. Just reach out to any potential massage therapists first, and any worth their salt will be able to reassure you that they can handle it.
Yesssss Ian!! You are an inspiration of how to show support! She is awesome. You are awesome. And I feel blessed to be in this community! Guys - this is how you make the world a better place. My hat is off to you both!
This woman is amazing. Love the diagrams.so informative. Much easier to see with the diagrams and how she talks about the insertions and origins which is something that is difficult to locate without seeing the diagram drawings in the body.
I have so much respect for Ms. Natera! She was my teacher back in 2017! Now that Im licensed I find that I'll never stop learning! There's so much to know! She's AMAZING and I love when therapists support each other! Much love and good vibes to you both 😃♥️! Subscribed!
This video was amazing! I love the visuals of the drawn on muscles. It raised my understanding of what's happening during massage. Thank you so much for sharing.
Maria's videos are great! I'm a visual learner and I can visualize the muscles better. I was also able to understand what muscles are most likely causing my back pain. I watch Ian's videos when my back hurts. I feel better. He should do ASMR videos. I think both Ian's and Maria's videos help me learn and understand better. Thank you Ian for sharing Maria with us!
She is my favorite!!!! I have improved my techniques in massage. I’ve ever have so good explanations about muscles, even from my very good teacher in Brazil. I am grateful and I am praying for her every day. Thanks to bring her in!!😊
Muchas gracias son muy interesantes sus clases , soy de Perú no se inglés , me gustaría saber acerca del uso de ventosas Licenciada María . gracias Bendiciones
I been following her techniques even before and she is amazing very knowledgeable in human anatomy which is hard to memorize, I love both of you,, you help me improve my career as a massage therapist.. Thnk you do much. Mwwwwaaaaa
Maria is awesome with her massages. Last week she gave me a 30 min. massage and I was so relaxed and that night I slept like a baby. She will help me with my sciatica. Can’t wait for second treatment next week. Good bye painful Epidural Shots. 💉💉💉
Love the muscles...drawn on..I see she still has strong thumbs..(one of your things you don’t do anymore)..and mentioned Trigger points..but plan follow her too. Thanks.
I've subscribed, can't wait to watch her videos. I'm not a therapist but I get a massage every fortnight because I have a lot of things wrong with my spine and my hips and legs are probably the most painful when getting massaged. Sometimes there's no pain, she can get in there with deep tissue and other times I'm jumping off the table and she's put very little pressure on my body. Hands down the quads are the worst!! But it's a necessity that helps my pain to a degree, therefore, helps me to be as mobile as possible xx
Hey Ian! I'd really love a video on what you do to relax nervous clients, especially first timers. I've got my first massage booked in four days and I'm almost dreading it. Being stuck in a room with someone I don't know and having to focus on me stresses me out!
Awesome thank you Maria love the forearm moves first I learnt that with the Elemis company for cruises it really takes of the hard work with the thumbs love your videos thank you 😊👍🏻👍🏻
Great job, Maria...definitely checking out your Chan! Love the collab feature with other Therapists, Ian! Only thing I wish is that to dislike a vid, you had to leave a reason why, lol. I’m always curious why people dislike a video!
Grabbing thumb and adducting is finklestein’s test, which is not for carpal tunnel, but for de quervain’s tenosynovitis (inflammation of thumb/anatomical snuffbox tendons)
Wow! She seems very knowledgeable! Her explanations are great! Also, and this is on a different topic, I'm not a massage therapist but are there massages that someone can do to themselves for TMJ and knee pain?
Emoretta Robinson yes! If you do assisted resisted work on the tmj area it really helps. So basically do glides up your jaw and open slowly as you glide and then do glides down and close slowly. Also just doing glides around that area will help. For knee pain if you focus on massaging your quads that will really loosen up the tightness and in turn help with the knee pain. Most likely one of the quads is pulling on your knee causing the pain. If it’s inner knee pain then focus on the outer quads and vice versa but if you focus on all of them then you’re all set!
I got to around :50 with the drawn on muscles (brilliant) ... clicked on her channel link... and smashed/subscribed. (Her subs are in the 800's now... ) Thank you!
You can message me on Facebook or instagram, but the best way is to post on the community forum (search "Massage Sloth Clubhouse" on Facebook) so that you can get a variety of answers.
