I know that I can do my best sanitizing my room, linens, etc, etc... there is nothing I can do about the respiratory transmission.... The gift card thing is a GREAT idea. After being locked in the house with the kids for a month with nothing to eat but peanut butter crackers... people are going to NEED a massage.

My work place has not closed but I stopped going in I don’t want to put myself or my clients at risk just knowing that I could have the virus with no symptoms and potentially pass the virus to my clients make me extremely nerves. This morning 2 cases were reported in the city I work 😣

I work for one of those national chains. Our franchise is closed till April 1st however our owners are going to pay us for the service hours we would have had. Granted we won't get the gratuities it's better than nothing and they didn't even have to do that much. I think it's great. Fortunately after Hurricane Michael I think everyone knows to have a few months salary saved up for emergencies such as this so hopefully we'll be fine. Great video, inspirational as always. Keep up the good work.

I'm in my 1st year of working as a massage therapist and was just starting to build up a clientele. I do massage at a gym, and unfortunately got closed down due to the fact that in my area gyms had to close. I'm fortunate that I have an employer who can take care of me. This has taught me that if you're new and are able to it's good to work for a business that's already well established in case something like COVID 19 happens. If you work for someone else ask for a stipend, and if they can't afford that right now then ask them if there is a time that they will be able to. They might still say no, but it's worth a shot.

AMTA and ABMP have both stated that everyone should be closed unless it's medically necessary, ie Oncology massage, and surgical recovery lymphatic drainage. I work for a chiropractor and I'm off until at least april

Hello Spencer I’m from the U.K. I have a condition known as cervical dystonia. Which on the right side of my neck. I’ve had this since about 1994 , I’m 62, these are uncontrollable spasms which causes the muscles to contract. This is painful. Do you have any suggestions for self massage which would release some of the pain and stress. I have treatment, this is Botox injections every 10 to 12 weeks. It would be great if there was some self massage which would help. Really like the channel. Videos any listening are very relaxing. In these times keep safe to you and everyone where ever you are.

My work STILL hasn’t closed yet. My coworkers and I are becoming VERY worried about getting sick and getting our family members sick because we have had several clients who are still coming in with things like runny noses, sore throats, coughs, etc... None of us feel comfortable refusing clients for fear of consequences. We’re just being told we should just do things like “upgrade to an aromatherapy to clear the clients’ sinuses” or “it’s probably just their allergies”. We’re also afraid of what will happen if we voice our discomfort of feeling like we don’t have a choice but to come into work. This time is so difficult for people in this profession right now....

That’s odd. My last name is Harwood too and do massage. Does anyone know about doing massage at chiropractors. In MN all businesses offering massage should be closed but some chiropractors still have therapists working. In my mind given that it’s all businesses chiropractors should be included because even though chiropractors themselves fall under the “essentials” Massage is a totally different thing.

I personally think if you live healthy eat maximum sometimes 2 meals (better just 1) stay away from sugar and sleep hungry And finally stress.... Is the killer I hope you are all well
