The yoga pose downward dog has seemed to relieve me of the need to get this done though, as it activates the weak upper back and neck muscles that I wasn’t using, putting tension in my left jaw
Girl what you need is psychotherapy not Botox. I don't mean that as an insult but when you clench your teeth like this every night it is most likely a symptom of stress or unhappyness. You are treating the symptoms not the cause.
Come back when you have TMJ. I have done everything including braces but it doesn’t fix the problem. I wake up with my jaw and teeth hurting coupled with headaches and neck pain up to my shoulders. It’s awful and this is the only thing that helps.
@@BlueAngel2397 You totally missed my point. If you clench this much Botox might help you against symptoms but not against the CAUSE of your problem. I don't know what stresses you but people who are not stressed or unhappy don't clench their teeth at all. If you find out what causes this stress and change it, it might be the better option then taking the most lethal poison on earth every six months. Doctors are of course happy with unhappy people who pay a ton of money every six months for a treatment wich never changes the cause of the problem and just treats the symptoms. Also you say its the only thing that helps but how do you know that? Ever tried acupuncture? Weed? Meditation? relaxation exercises? Yoga? muscle relaxants?
@BlueAngel2397 FOR REAL. I go to PT for tmj and they're always shocked at how bad my masseters are. Like my muscles are so turned on sometimes they can't tell the difference when I'm clenching vs not. PT has helped so much its unreal
