Drove 2 different 2680s working for different contractors, fantastic tractors. So easy to use, comfortable, and very reliable. Never had a fault with either. Remember getting the job on the second one, water bowser on an opencast site, seeing the tractor and being very happy to see a 2680 waiting in the yard. Top Tractors.
Massey Ferguson 135 anno 1967 Massey Ferguson 188 anno 1973 Massey Ferguson 3095 anno 1995 Gli ultimi due ancora in attività. Grazie Massey Ferguson. 👏👏👏🥰🥰🥰🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
Massey ferguson are the best!! I think the 2000 series was a great range of machines. The 2680 was my favourite out of what I ether owned or drove but it was the 2805 I would have liked! A rare beast in the UK 🇬🇧.
Nice video ! MF 2725 electronic, best tractor I ever owned, lusted after one as a teenager, later bought one, full spec, front linkage, front mudguards, rear fender extensions, ARM pick up hitch, low profile radials, Kat3 quick hitch linkage, air seat - a real pleasant place to go to work, brilliant hydraulics, awesome vision, if I could find it I'd buy it back in the morning !
2 guys that are contracting brothers from South Leicestershire took over baling our silage , their men & themselves did all the baling & wrapping with a fleet of these , 2 Krone round balers & a Kverneland wrapper , I had to be right on my game getting 20 + acres ready to go , then gerrout of the way myself , same acreage baled & wrapped in a couple of hours , man , did they shift some work , nothing stopped them , day or night , just fuel & driver,s sarnies , same guys did the straw , catching up with the combine , good committed men , good powerful reliable gear , it gets the job done . What more is there to say .
Thankz!!!!!...Fantastic video...considering we don`t get many of these nowadays. I own a 2685 E and its really a great work horse!!!!... more than that I wanted a video to go with it and this is it!!.. Let me know if you have more videos on MF2685..I would love to watch them!!... Cheerz
We had this video in our company as a VHS tape and I had to make it digital because it a nice video. unfortunately I don't have more vedeo's like this.
I was left my late father's MF 2640. Just use it for plowing and blowing snow. Way too big. But that's how dad rolled. Big gear. Glad it's a massey. If I ever had to fix something I'd be screwed
From the MF 2600 series manual they tell you to use: MF specification M-1139 or M-1127/1135 this is a universal type oil. But you can also use the oil that is used on the current models, this is a SAE 15W40 oil complying with MF specifications CMS M1145.
Does anyone had some experiences with model 2680 Turbo? In which period were they manufactured? I have one and in its papers say that it is manufactured in 1989.
Spent all summer drawing silage in a 1983 2720 lovely tractor if everything still worked just didn’t like where the accelerator peddle is was a lot to get used to
That have been tractors the way I like them. I'm kind of oldfashnd but I tell you what I shit on "autonom driving and section controll. Those MF V8 tractors of the 2000series have been Milestones in US tractor construction💪🇱🇷
The non-turbo models were OK but the A6.354 engine couldnt take turbocharging... They were notorious for cylinder head failures. Hence the Valmet engines in the later higher hp models.
@@charliemccahill2131 the Phaser had its own problem, with coolant leaking into the timing gear casing. People kept replacing head gaskets and the problem persisted. Untill it became common knowledge that the timing gearcase was the culprit, replacing a rotten timing case was more work than replacing a head gasket because the timing gears and all, had to come off... Either way, Perkins lost its market dominance in the 80s and 90s to Cummins and Deutz.
This was the beginning of the computer electronic Garbage that all of the manufacturers make now. This crap won't be around in 50 or 70 years like the old tractors that can still work today, and some do!
i have massey MF50 loader backhoe S serise look for 3 throttle 1 paddle to fuel control 2 hand throttle to foot paddle and the engine stop for S serise cab
Gd enough tractors . Hellish slow on the road though and the gearshift wasnt the best . But they pulled well and did the job . I think the later ones were much improved the new massey ranges being launched take a lot of styling cues from the 2000 series . Who had a britains toy 2000 series tractor .
a neighbour had a brand new mf 675 4x4, and another had a mf 690. was a tractor freak as a kid but had a big crush on case 685. was lookin on mf whne buying a tractor recently but the price for a 89 mod mf 690 was over 20000 euros and a case 685 was 10000 so I went for the case ;)
