The Lely manual says to remove the cages to scatter.. folded up is the transport position. The nice thing is, your pins and pin holes aren't worn out and repaired 100 times🤣😂 We leave ours on the tractor, only use it for raking. If needed, we have an old 4 basket Tedder, it spreads better and covers more area.. The small frame Massey is great on the Tedder rake.. a 175 would be a pain in the arse to hook up.. trust me..
