We visited the Berlin based Panorama Bar resident Massimiliano Pagliara, who has a deep love and connection to vintage synths, lush sounds and captivating rhythms. Pagliara just released his 4th LP called "See You In Paradise"

I would be interested to know how everything is routed and connected. There are a lot of machines, I think I see at least one vintage boss mixer and then there is the ssl big six, so I guess there is no dedicated channel for each sound source. Massimiliano, would you shed some light on how your signal flow works?

I just replied to a similar question above :) Have 2 Boss KM 60 mixers which I use like a patch-bay. Most of the Synths/Drum machines are connected to these. Then I go out into my main mixer, the SSL Big Six, which has also an integrated audio interface. So yeah, very easy to use with a DAW, in my case Ableton Live. Regarding volume/neighbors: I mostly work day time, and don't play too loud :)

@@massimilianopagliara3275 i used to have that boss km 60 mixer but i found it very noisy. i only used it to overdrive sounds. i wonder if it's the same with yours... very nice collection of synths btw.

Great studio! Do you record your synths through the boss mixer which is the background?

Thanks! I do use the Boss Mixers (I have two) mostly like a patch-bay. Most synths/drum machines are connected to them and then I go into the main mixer, the SSL Big 6.

Damn man! Top notch studio.. Love it! Loved your Telekom video also. By the way; the Jupiter 8 isn't 80K yet.. You can have it for 25K.. Idiotic prices! Do you hear/feel/experience a difference between your old P5 and the the new one? Regards, Emiel

I did that for 2 years. Then kind of stopped, due to lack of time. But I still exercise on my own, like playing chords and scales, as a warm-up, before I start working on a new track or so.

I see the Korg miniKorg 700FS (reissue), and a vintage Korg 800DV. Very different from the Moog and Roland mono-synths. Not as many people have these 70's era Korgs. How have they influenced your music? I find the 700FS is very expressive for live playing due to the control layout. Thanks for the studio tour!

Absolutely! Love them both! So happy Korg re-issued the 700! And I have been looking for the 800DV for a long time. Very nice machines!
