Hello Loves ♡
CANADA is crazy expensive to live in right now, groceries are no joke. I spent over $300 in groceries and i'll show you what an average Ontario Canadian spends bi-weekly on food! Some items shown are from Zehrs, Wal-Mart, the Dollar Store, Food Basics, No Frills, and more. If you like seeing new food/ snack options, I also have a few new PC items!
Hit that subscribe button down below if you wanna be an ANTI BEAUTY QUEEN yourself, and stay beautiful!
As always

@antibeautyqueen Walmart or a local grocery store! Once a month or so, we'll go to Costco for special items that my grandmother in law likes such as croissants and stuffed peppers.

Canadian here too! The prices are absolutely WILD. I live in quebec but primarily go over to ontario to shop. Lately we have been going to no frills more than walmart. I only shop about 2 times a month now, and I really try to go for the sales!! Ive got 3 small children and one on the way. So every month I try to get my diapers & wipes right away. Ive always got bread in my freezer and i try to buy the meats that are on sale that week. I also always try to keep muffin mixes, instant pudding mix, jello packs, and complete pancake mix. You can do so much with those things and kids love puddings, jello, pancakes! No name frozen juices are a good thing for me to keep in my freezer too. P.S i also love those great value spicy wings chips! Another great value favourite of mine is scorchin hot all dressed cheese crunchies, its like a knockoff of flamin hot cheetos and its got all dressed flavouring too! Great haul and thanks for sharing :)

Ummm those cheezies sound amazing. I seriously give you all the amazing momma props to be able to keep your babies bellies full in these crazy times. I’m just feeling myself and my husband and mom. Honestly, we do a massive bulk of our meat shopping at Costco! It’s expensive at the time but we do things to stretch it out.. like taking steaks and cutting them way down to make more portions. Do you find a huge difference in prices from Quebec to Ontario?

@@antibeautyqueeni am definitely going to need to get a Costco membership at some point. There must be So much at Costco that you can buy in bulk that you just can’t get at regular stores! Yes I definitely find a difference in prices, Quebec is a lot more expensive. Milk, diapers, formula, toiletries, general household items are all much more. I mean when things go on sale at local stores (giant tiger, metro) I will of course purchase stuff there. But so many things are just way too much money! I just always try to keep things stocked in my freezers and cupboards for easy but still healthy snacks and meals for my family 😊

I’m in Alberta I’ve never heard of food basics or zehrs. We have have superstore/no frills, Sobeys/Safeway/Fresh co, Co-op, freson bros, save on foods, Walmart, giant tiger for grocery stores. We are 3 adults 1 toddler and 1 dog and we spend $300-$350 every 2 weeks sometimes more if we need extra items. Prices have become so ridiculous some items costing 3x more then it was before the pandemic I honestly don’t know how people survive on minimum wage anymore, my husband makes decent money being our only income and we still struggle

Zehrs and no frills are under the loblaws umbrella. So basically another version of fresh co. Anything that sells PC brand food items. Food basics would be the cheaper option of Sobeys (I think?). The cost is only going up up up so it’s scary times for sure 😩

Groceries were expensive when i lived in Ontario from 2002-2009. Boneless skinless chicken breast was 8.99lb

Honestly it’s triple that now. It’s insane. Like Ontario has always been a very expensive province to live in … but this is next level. Where abouts do you live now? Still in Canada?

@@antibeautyqueenbscb is 27 a pound? Holy crap. I was married to a Canadian, when we separated.I moved back to california. I lived in exeter, small town north of london. I used to work at a senior dining program twice a month.I had three dollars a person to buy groceries and they paid nine dollars for their full complete meal.

The scary thing about the price is if you don't have the staples, you're looking at double the price.
