I’ve printed toymaker’s models and every single one of them have been an amazing experience, some of them are free so I strongly suggest to go into the site. My free favorite is Tetsujin. Thanks for sharing Joel I love to see the community coming together sharing content. If anyone loves building lego this should be in your to-print list. Highest of 5 🖐
I was so awe struck that I bought 7 of the print files from ToyMakers website during their Black Friday sale. I was able to get 7 great quality model kits (that I would have to print) for the price I would purchase for one Gundam Model Kit...you can't beat that!!
man this motivates me to finish printing my jet transformer to finalize the design and to do a tweaks before a test print of a starship inspired omega supreme. incredible work
We were commissioned to print that same model as the person didn't have a 3D Printer big enough to print some of the pieces at 100% scale. It took several printers and a long time to print the pieces at 100% scale. Of course we had a number of print failures. Then of course we had fitment issues here and there which resulted in having to reprint some parts due to breaking. We never did anything at that scale before so it was definitely an experience. We had no idea what we ere getting ourselves into. They guy paid us $200 to print it.
Awesome. I was waiting for Sean to just push Joel to the side to geek out on the different models before Joel chased him off with the Eagle. Maybe in a different reality :P
If you are curious I finished my rocketship transformer. it is on cults as Omega Starship Transformer. I will try to work on the Jet-transformer later in the year. Please take a look and let me know what you think
I printed Toymak3r's Devastator. Was an amazing model and worked great. I paid 12 bucks, I think, but now it's free. Wholeheartedly recommend you give it a try.
As always fantastic I've had the file's for the dragon zord for a while now and was thinking about upping the scale but dam that's huge I'm blown away by how well the details look at that scale
This takes me back. I loved Power Rangers when I was a kid. Did anyone else have the weapons set that assembled into the Power Blaster? My cousin had the Saba Saber and I was so jealous!
I had the weapons that assembled. And Saba. Never the dragon dagger though. Now I have three of them. 😂 and Hasbro just put the power sword up for preorder and are working o the rest for a life sized replica of the full power blaster.
Great video yet again! One question though. You mentioned that you sell the dragon print from Flexi Factory. They don't mind people selling prints of their work? If so, that is incredibly cool of them. I just wanted to point out, as someone who mostly makes their own designs, that, for your viewers, to please make sure if you plan to sell prints of anyone else's designs, that you have permission to do so. It is incredibly kind of designers to put in all the hard work making designs and then put them out for others to print. I'd hate for people to assume they it is legally ok sell the prints without permission. I assume that you wouldn't sell prints without permission, Joel. You are always very respectful of others. High-5!
To be fair with all the cost of time, electric, plastic the Bandi version is drastically cheaper, even at minimum wage your time might be economically better spent earning… That said it is a very impressive build you can be proud of.
Really need some better scale comparisons. It doesn't actually look too big, until you remember Joel is pretty tall. Should have that dragon zord in his hand or something
This is why I need to get back to 3d printing. all the improvements in 3d printing 2/3 years ago ie: ease of operation, auto bed leveling, etc. the reduction in printer prices... what a time to be alive!
I got the MMPR and Thunder zord from their site and after finally getting my printer setup after moving to a new house i am going to finally print these by the way i am looking for Lego Bionicle 3d print files if anyone knows where i can find some want to print giant version of them
His/her Valkyrii model is awesome as well. I'm amazed at how he/she was able to design it to transform into three different shapes (robot mode, guardian mode, jet mode)! He/she is definitely an excellent designer!
I fully understand the appeal of creating upon existing IP: less guesswork, more publicity, more sales, etc. But we really need more original models to elevate 3D printing, instead of piggybacking on existing designs made printable. We want more "oh I haven't seen that before" instead of "it's neat that you remade the popular mass produced thing".
