@J P great question. The Sony laser has a cone in front of it that can present a danger to your eyes. With the low ceiling we had to position the projector in front of the main seats to be safe. This meant we had to use the short throw lens version. The DCR will not work with a short throw. But it’s really not needed as the picture is insanely bright.
I searched RU-vid for the best home theater build money could buy, and of course it was an Audio Advice project! Beautiful work! It really looks amazing.
Scott… Scott.. You guys have outdone yourselves. Room is Amazing. Equipment is off the charts. I’m flabbergasted at this theater. Well done. 👏🏻 👏🏻 Truly a flagship. 🍿 🎥
Fantastic room, I'm just learning about the line source speaker arrays and they look like the Cadillac of home theater speakers. This room must be amazing. Outstanding work!
My goodness, man… that front wall installation… and you guys actually “replaced” the wall essentially to make it work… and running everything from 100FT away… and the “turn off the room”?! This is serious business w/ Audio Advice! Ive been watching the channel for awhile… but subscribed today. Perhaps in due time, i might be able to contract Audio Advice for my upgrade install. Nice work
That's awesome, just the way I would want my imaginary HT to be: maximized screen. None of that extravagant HT with a relatively small screen. And that CIH solution with auto switching between 16x9 and 2.4:1 content (and I'm assuming it can do 1.85:1 also) using the Envy is mind blowing. All I need now is to win the Powerball!
Sick room, the only thing I would have changed is I would have gone with a Trinnov Altitude 32 and their Amplitude16 amp, then you wouldn't have had to deal with all that non since having the amps in the theater when running the room correction.
Thank you for sharing this great content. The quality of these home theater videoes is really impressive. From the charismatic presentation, knowledge sharing, video clipping and more. Very interesting from start to finish, and the enthusiasm is contagious 😊👍🏻 One thing I would really be interested in is the total price of the home theatres in each video. Just ballpark figures. Is this a USD 200.000 or USD 500.000 build, when taking installation/labour into consideration? Would nice to have it broken down like: Room/furniture/lights/carpentry: USD 40.000 Audio hardware: USD 150.000 Video hardware: USD 80.000
Thank you so much!!! Since the homeowners are so gracious to allow us to capture the entire process, we do not post prices on You Tube. You can go to the link to the article in the video and we normally list all of the gear with a link to the pricing page for that piece of gear.
WOW! I have a very huble £700 Benq projector and monitor audio radius 5.1 cinima which I love and sounds sweet, clean and crisp....I cant even immagine how amazing this must be. Every standard commercial cinima ive been to since ive had my setup has honestly sounded terrible compared to my small front room!
Thank you. It is using the embedded closed captions, but when you have a 2.40 movie and they put the closed captions in the black bars below the movie, you can't zoom it out to fill the screen without making the captions disappear. The Mad VR lets you custom adjust the zoom, and you can also set different time frames for it to change when it sees captions, from instantly going back and forth to just staying with the custom zoom the whole movie. Thanks for watching
Thank you. If you are DIY, we can help across the entire state, we do some in the eastern part of the state. If you are interested, please email web@audioadvice.com
Imagine going from this to a family members house and watching a movie on their 32 inch "Big Screen"....In my quest for Larger screens (TV) I got up to 65" and it was great, until I had to move it or move homes. Since then I went down to 50" and I think thats my sweet spot. Fits on a small stand, move it to any room, toss it in the car, etc. When Im in the home Im going to die in, then I'll get a massive TV lol.. Of course I enjoy bigger TVs but the last time I moved I had to rent a uhaul for just my TV and my safe. After that I said never again lol. Gave it to my mom haha. The upgrade of her life.
There is not a JBL Synthesis anywhere close to these in performance that could fit in the space. Both brands make great speakers and there is some personal taste involved. Thanks for watching
Great vids as always, Scott! This is probably the fifth AA vid that featured the JL Audio Fathom IWSv2 113 in a multiple subs setup. I am really curious how powerful it is. Right now I have dual E112, and I wonder if the SPL/SQ is similar (or more)?
Glad you enjoyed it. The Dual in wall 13" system puts out a ton of deep tight bass, more than two E112, but obviously the big inwall version costs a lot more too. Thanks for watching
Fantastic job Scott & Audio Advice team and the owner too of course, and I absolutely love the fact that this HT system uses a lot of gear that is from American Companies that are made in the USA too (i.e. ML, JL Audio, McIntosh, and Stewart Filmscreen) here..! I will be reaching out to Scott and his team for sure here when I start the preliminary design work on my new basement HT custom install project with my "American gear only" requirement in a few months here... :-)
Thank you Kevin, yes, this theater has a good percentage of US made gear in it and sounds and looks amazing. We appreciate you watching and commenting.
Hi Scott Your videos are simply awsome on your home cinema room designs. It gives me ideas of designing my ultimate dolby atmos home cinema room with a massive screen...
Thanks, we tried all kinds of solutions, and that one particular AQ cable did the trick! We were coming behind another company who put the gear where it was. Thanks for watching
Thank you. Here is a link to the gear used, the 40 were across the front www.audioadvice.com/videos-reviews/7-3-6-home-theater-sony-martinlogan-jlaudio/. A 179" 2.40 screen is roughly 165 by 69. Thanks for watching
Uma sala de cinema de outro mundo, muita bem projetada e os equipamentos top. Nem imagino o valor que ficou. Esta sala aqui no Brasil ficaria na casa dos milhares de dollares U$.👏👏👏👍👍👍
I'm actually curious to know what the power draw of the full system is. With that many amps, the video processor, and a projector like that, I'm imagining at least 6 kW.
Extremely suprised to read that the projector only omits 40 decibles! These lasers are very efficient at converting electricity into light rather than heat.
Very nice! If you've seen my channel, you know I'm a big fan of line arrays. I don't know what the final count will be in terms of number of drivers but the LCR totals 190 drivers, 70 each main and 50 in the center. Sixteen 15's in dipole woofers, eight 18's in IB brings it to 214 drivers not including surrounds etc. The current plan for the side speakers put them at 25 drivers each times 6 for another 150 drivers. Rears and Atmos, I haven't decided on yet but without them, it's at 364 drivers. I expect it will top 400 drivers total. What can I say, I have a tendency to overkill;-) Great video, I bet it does sound spectacular! It's hard to beat line arrays!
@@AudioAdvice I think I will have when it's done but my constant business travel makes it difficult to make progress. My theater is in the Austin, TX area so you guys are welcome to come check it out sometime when I'm home. I'm in Dresden Germany at the moment.
Man, that non-linear stretch (nls) at 5:40 looks pretty rough. The guy started to look like a Muppet. I don't think I would use that as a selling point.
You make a good point. Since then, we have actually done way more testing and improved the way we set up the NLS in the settings for our MadVR users. We've gotten it so good that you will barely notice it now. Thanks for the feedback
I have an Optoma UHD60, obviously I would love an $80,000.00 projector haha but would this setup look good with an upgrade to a budget like $5,000.00-$10,000.00 projector on 179" screen/surround set up. I would love to do something exactly like this.
I'd love to do this as a job, my only discrepancy is, when you play the video and it auto adjust itself for the subtitles, why not keep video as it is and adjust the subs, that would annoy me the video changing like that
You can set it to do any number of things, keep subtitles present all the time, or for "x" seconds before it goes back to the full screen, it is actually great. Thanks for watching
It is one of the best home theatre in the world. I have a question , how the JBL synthesis HDI speaker sound in comparison with these speakers, which is better?
Thank you! The HDI speakers are very good, but they are not in the same category as the ones used in this theater. We appreciate you watching and commenting.
We've been considering digging into this topic as some may stream higher quality than others. A lot of it comes down to personal preferences and ease of use of the interface.
Mac is made literally across the river from me in Binghamton NY. I've been there plenty of times. BTW I used to review for AVS, I did a lot of their audio reviews. Id Love to get back into it and would LOVE to do my whole theater in Heco ,and do a full review on that diff from what I use to that I use all Def tech now. Keep me posted, and keep up the great work
Also sent my Muck Rack account with a lot of my reviews plus 2 more links to other reviews I did. Also Id be very interested in the remote sales ect. But would love to do reviews for you. Thanks again.. Steve.
